Lin-Manuel Miranda flies a kite in 'Mary Poppins' trailer
Disney released a trailer for its upcoming family movie Mary Poppins Returns during Sunday's ABC broadcast of the Oscars ceremony.

The 90-second clip shows Lin-Manuel Miranda, who plays London street lamplighter Jack, riding a bicycle as a storm approaches and the wind starts to blow leaves and a kite around town.

A little boy picks the kite up and Miranda's character helps him fly it.

As they look up at the sky, the clouds part and the figure of Mary Poppins -- played by Emily Blunt -- begins to magically descend.

She is later seen in a house, admiring herself in a mirror.

"Mary Poppins, it is wonderful to see you," says Michael Banks, played by Ben Whishaw.

"Yes, it is. Isn't it?" Mary replies.

The film is set for a Christmas release. It was directed by Rob Marshall from a screenplay by David Magee and screen story by Magee, Marshall and John DeLuca based upon The Mary Poppins Stories by P.L. Travers.

The movie features Blunt "as the practically-perfect nanny with unique magical skills who can turn any task into an unforgettable, fantastic adventure."

The ensemble also includes Emily Mortimer, Julie Walters, Colin Firth, Meryl Streep, Angela Lansbury and Dick Van Dyke.

Which singer attended Jennifer Lopez's show in Las Vegas?

Elton John explains why 'rude, disruptive' fan removed from stage
British pop star Elton John says he left the stage during his concert Thursday in Las Vegas because a fan became "rude and disruptive."

The famed musician said in a statement posted to social media Saturday that he routinely invites concertgoers to gather around his piano when he performs the party song "Saturday Night."

But on Thursday, one man put his hands on John's piano keys and tried to take photos as John was performing the song.

"I bring fans onstage every evening when we play 'Saturday Night' in the set, it is always a lovely part of the show where I get to meet them, shake their hands and have them right there with me while I play. They have always been very courteous to the fact we are in the middle of playing a song live," John wrote. "This guy was rude, disruptive and had no care or respect for our show and so I let him know how I felt, then left the stage until they had removed him."

E! News said the 70-year-old entertainer was videotaped storming off the stage and telling the offending fan, "You [expletive] it up!"

He returned moments later after the guy left and sang "The Circle of Life."

Maya Thurman-Hawke to co-star in 'Stranger Things' Season 3
Maya Thurman-Hawke, the daughter of actress Uma Thurman and her ex-husband, actor Ethan Hawke, has joined the Season 3 cast of Netflix's Stranger Things.

She will play Robin, "an alternative girl who is equal parts sharp and playful," a news release said.

"Bored with her mundane day job, she just wants a little excitement in her life... and gets more than she bargained for when she uncovers a dark secret in Hawkins."

Thurman-Hawke also recently starred in the BBC's adaptation of Little Women, which will air on PBS in the United States in May.

Priah Ferguson, an Atlanta alum who first appeared as Lucas' little sister Erica in Season 2 of Stranger Things, has been made a recurring player in Season 3 of the supernatural series, which is set in 1980s Indiana.

"No longer content with sitting on the sidelines, Erica finds herself on a wild mission to save Hawkins from a dangerous and unexpected new threat," press notes said.

Robin is new here and she's "alternative." We love a weirdo and a new resident. Welcome to Hawkins, Maya Hawke. pic.twitter.com/ngdm9j6A3K- Stranger Things (@Stranger_Things) March 2, 2018
