Diane Lane, Greg Kinnear join 'House of Cards' as production resumes
Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear have signed on to star in the final season of House of Cards as the Netflix drama resumes production.

Lane and Kinnear's roles are being kept under wraps but the duo will portray siblings, Variety reported.

Production on House of Cards was halted in October after star Kevin Spacey faced a number of sexual misconduct allegations -- including one from Star Trek Discovery actor Anthony Rapp.

Netflix then cut ties with Spacey and will have him written out of the show.

House of Cards will now focus on Spacey's co-star Robin Wright, who was already becoming a focal point on the show.

Wright, Lane and Kinnear will be joined by Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Patricia Clarkson, Constance Zimmer, Derek Cecil, Campbell Scott and Boris McGiver.

Emily Blunt joins Dwayne Johnson in Disney film 'Jungle Cruise'
Emily Blunt is joining Dwayne Johnson in the forthcoming Disney film Jungle Cruise.

Deadline reported the 34-year-old actress will star with Johnson in the new movie, which is inspired by the Disney World ride of the same name.

Non-Stop and The Shallows director Jaume Collet-Serra will helm the project. Star Trek 4 writers J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay penned the original script, with Logan screenwriter Michael Green later brought on as writer.

Johnson will produce the film with Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, Beau Flynn, John Davis, John Fox and Scott Sheldon, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Disney plans to begin production on the project in the spring.

"So happy," Johnson tweeted of Blunt's casting. "All aboard my lovely lady, for the adventure cruise of a lifetime. Trust me... what would possibly go wrong? #BluntJohnson #JungleCruise."

The Jungle Cruise ride takes park-goers on a "tour" through several world rivers, including the Amazon in South America and the Nile and Congo in Africa. Details on the movie's plot are being kept under wraps.

Blunt will also star in Disney's forthcoming Mary Poppins sequel, Mary Poppins Returns.

Jamie Lee Curtis posts on-set photo from new 'Halloween'
Jamie Lee Curtis posted on Instagram a behind-the-scenes photo taken from the set of the upcoming Halloween film.

"First shot. @halloweenmovie Halloween 40 years later. Same slate. Same Laurie," Curtis said alongside an image of herself standing in a doorway alongside the new films director, David Gordon Green.

"David Gordon Green directing from his script. Happy Halloween 2018 everyone. See you all 10/19/18 #halloweenmovie," she continued.

The image is similar to the one Universal shared in September featuring Curtis standing in front of a house to announce the film. The 59-year-old sports longer hair in this new image to match her character's look form the original 1978 film by John Carpenter.

Curtis played the character of Laurie Strode in four Halloween installments out of the existing 10 from 1978 to 2002.

The new film is cowritten by Green and Danny McBride and was given the blessing by Carpenter who will potentially contribute to the soundtrack, Entertainment Weekly reported. Nick Castle, who portrayed killer Michael Myers, is also rumored to be returning.

Kirsten Dunst confirmed her rumored pregnancy in a stunning new Rodarte campaign.

The 35-year-old actress showed off her baby bump in two soft, romantic looks for the fashion label's fall-winter portrait series.

Photographer Autumn de Wilde captured Dunst cradling her baby bump in a pink dress with an embroidered tulle overlay. The star wears a large corsage of flowers on her arm and smaller blooms in her hair.

"FW18 Portrait Series: Women that inspire us. Floral Embroidered Tulle Gown as worn by @kirstendunst," Rodarte captioned the photo on its official Instagram account.

"The photos speak for themselves," the rep told The Los Angeles Times.

Which actor is in talks to portray Jesus in 'Passion of the Christ' sequel?

Jim Caviezel is being eyed to portray Jesus Christ once again in a sequel to 2004's The Passion of the Christ from Mel Gibson.

Caviezel's agency ICM Partners confirmed with The Hollywood Reporter that he is in negotiations with Gibson to return to the role.

Gibson, who directed The Passion of the Christ, is expected to produce, direct or both.

"There are things that I cannot say that will shock the audience," Caviezel said when asked about the project by USA Today. "It's great. Stay tuned."

"I won't tell you how he's going to go about it," he continued about Gibson's approach to the sequel. "But I'll tell you this much, the film he's going to do is going to be the biggest film in history. It's that good."

Gibson confirmed that he was developing a sequel to The Passion of the Christ tentatively titled The Resurrection in September 2016 while speaking with Pastor Greg Laurie at the 2016 SoCal Harvest, a Christian event.

"Of course, that's a very big subject and it needs to be looked at because we don't want to just do a simple rendering of it - you know, read what happened," he said about the film at the time.

The Passion of the Christ, which also starred Maia Morgenstern and Monica Bellucci, was a box-office smash taking in more then $600 million globally.

Caviezel will next be seen in Paul, Apostle of Christ which arrives in theaters on March 28. The actor stars as Luke alongside James Faulkner's Paul in the film.
