Kristen Bell recalls '36 hours of labor' on daughter Delta's 3rd birthday
Kristen Bell celebrated daughter Delta's third birthday by revisiting her "36 hours of labor."
The 37-year-old actress posted a slideshow of never-before-seen photos of herself at the hospital prior to her younger daughter's birth. Bell shares Delta and 4-year-old daughter Lincoln with her husband, actor Dax Shepard.
The post includes a picture of a pregnant Bell showing off her baby bump while sitting on an exercise ball. The slideshow also features two snapshots of Bell in labor at the hospital and a photo of her holding baby Delta.
"Three years ago today. 47lbs heavier. Getting through painful contractions with backrubs and breathing. Occasionally swinging from the IV pole to try and feel sexy and open up my hips," the star captioned the slideshow.
"After 36 hours of labor I met a girl i love more than all the molecules in the world," she said. "Happy birthday, Delta. Love, mom #meshpanties."
Bell and Shepard married in October 2013 after welcoming Lincoln that March. The actress said in the November issue of Shape that her health and being active with her daughters are among her top priorities.
"It's important to me to show my children that I care about my health and fitness enough to stay committed. So when I'm in the room with them, I'll do some squats. When they ask what I'm doing, I'll say I'm getting my physical fitness in," she shared.
"It's a value I want to instill in my kids at an early age -- that paying attention to your body is mandatory," the star explained. "Whether it's putting my sunscreen on or doing pushups, it's not just me taking care of myself but also me helping shape my daughters."

Jodie Sweetin has been ordered by a judge to pay her ex-husband Morty Coyle $2,800 per month in child support.
The Fuller House star was ordered by a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge on Friday to pay Coyle until their 7-year-old daughter Beatrix turns 18, marries, dies or becomes emancipated, Us Weekly reported citing court documents.

Paramount sets release dates for 'G.I. Joe,' 'Dungeons & Dragons'
Paramount has set a number of release dates for a collection of upcoming tentpole films including another entry in its G.I. Joe series and an adaptation of Dungeons and Dragons.
The film, simply titled G.I. Joe, is set to hit theaters on March 27, 2020. The title is noticeably missing the number three, potentially hinting at the project being a reboot for the Hasbro series.
Paramount previously released G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra in 2009 and a sequel, G.I. Joe: Retaliation in 2013 that starred Dwayne Johnson as hero Roadblock.
G.I. Joe series star Byung-Hun Lee, who portrayed villainous ninja Storm Shadow, previously said in September 2016 that Paramount had yet to enter into production on a third film due to Johnson's busy schedule.
"I heard from the studio that there's a possibility to do the third one, but I think they're waiting for the actors' schedules, Lee said at the time. "They're arranging the schedules for the actors, especially Dwayne Johnson."
Dungeons and Dragons, based on the tabletop role-playing game, will arrive in theaters on July 23, 2021. The property was first adapted into a film starring Jeremy Irons in 2000 at New Line Cinema.
Paramount also announced dates for a film based on Hasbro's Micronauts toy line that will arrive on Oct. 16, 2020 and an untitled Hasbro film set for Oct. 1, 2021.
The studio was previously developing a Hasbro cinematic universe in 2015 that would have included G.I. Joe, Micronauts and films based on Visionaries, M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) and ROM.
