Here's the Scoop...

Ian McKellen might be back as Gandalf?! What!?

Ian McKellen is open to reprising Gandalf in the forthcoming Lord of the Rings television series.

The 78-year-old actor, who played the character in Peter Jackson's film trilogy and The Hobbit movies, said in an interview with BBC Radio 2 that he's "not too old" to portray the wizard in Amazon's adaptation.

Host Graham Norton asked McKellen if it was "annoying" there will "be another Gandalf," leading the star to question, "What do you mean 'another Gandalf?'"

"I haven't said yes because I haven't been asked," he said. "Gandalf is 7,000 years old so I'm not too old to play it."

Amazon confirmed plans in November for a multi-season adaptation of The Lord of the Rings novels, which were written by late author J.R.R. Tolkien. The series will explore new storylines set before The Fellowship of the Rings.

"The Lord of the Rings is a cultural phenomenon that has captured the imagination of generations of fans through literature and the big screen," Amazon Studios scripted series head Sharon Tal Yguado said. "We are honored to be working with the Tolkien Estate and Trust, HarperCollins and New Line on this exciting collaboration for television."

Amazon has yet to announce casting for the series. Sean Astin, who played Samwise Gamgee in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, told EW Radio in November that the show was an "intriguing" idea.

McKellen presently voices the demon in a West End production of The Exorcist, and is slated to star in the movie Hamlet Revenant with Connie Nielsen.

Be Well,
Steve

Sandra Bullock targets Anne Hathaway in first 'Ocean's 8' trailer
Sandra Bullock is after an expensive necklace Anne Hathaway owns in the first full-length trailer for Ocean's 8.

The clip, released Tuesday, features Bullock along with her partner played by Cate Blanchett, assembling her team in order to steal the necklace from Hathaway during the glamorous Met Gala in New York City.

Bullock and Blanchett enlists the help of suburban mom Sarah Paulson, jewelry expert Mindy Kaling, fashion designer Helena Bonham Carter, computer hacker Rihanna and the street smart Awkwafina in order to pull off the heist.

"Every con has its pros," the trailer says in between scenes as Bullock is seen rocking a blonde hairstyle to infiltrate the Met Gala.

Ocean's 8, directed by Gary Ross, is set to arrive in theaters on June 8. The film is a spinoff of the Ocean's Eleven heist series of films.

NBC interested in reviving 'The Office'
NBC is in early talks to revive The Office after the comedy series ended its nine season run in 2013.

The revival would once again take place at the Dunder-Mifflin office location in Scranton, Pa. and would feature new and returning cast members, TV Line reported.

Series star Steve Carell, who portrayed regional manager Michael Scott for seven seasons on the series, would not be involved in the revival.

NBC is said to be interested in bringing the series back following the successful return of Will & Grace.

The Office's ensemble cast also included Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Craig Robinson, Mindy Kaling, and B.J. Novak, among many others.

Fischer, while speaking recently with Variety on podcast Remote Controlled, said that she doubted that a new installment of The Office could take place.

"I don't think it'll ever happen," she said in November. "I would do it if there was some circumstance where everybody got back together, and could be brought back together in some amazing way, I would say yes. But I'm not sure it's realistic. The characters, they had arcs. They had growth. Jim and Pam left Dunder-Mifflin. Michael left Dunder-Mifflin. And it would be hard to manufacture why all the people were back working together. And I'm not sure the show works if we're all in different locations. ... I immediately start thinking, how did Jim and Pam get back from Austin? And Michael's living with Holly now. It would almost have to be a scenario where it's 'the lost tapes of The Office,' where you somehow go back in time and there's all of these lost stories where we weirdly look 5 years older."

Anna Kournikova, Enrique Iglesias welcome twins
Tennis star Anna Kournikova gave birth to twins with singer Enrique Iglesias following a secret pregnancy.

The celebrity couple welcomed Lucy and Nicholas in Miami on Saturday, TMZ reported.

Kournikova, 36, and Iglesias, 42, have been dating since 2001 when they met on the set of Iglesias' "Escape" music video and have been known to keep details of their relationship private.

Iglesias has often avoided questions regarding rumors about the couple's marriage stating he doesn't believe the couple needs a "piece of paper" to affirm their love.

When asked in 2016 about plans for him and Kournikova to marry, Iglesias hinted a wedding may have already occurred.

"Who knows what the future holds ... or the past," he told E! News.

Both Iglesias and Kournikova shared photos of themselves on a boat in Miami on Saturday and neither mentioned the birth.

Eva Longoria pregnant with first child
Eva Longoria is pregnant with her first child with husband Jose "Pepe" Baston, a representative confirmed Tuesday.

Representatives for the couple, who married in May 2016, revealed the news to TMZ.

A witness told Us Weekly that Longoria "kept touching her stomach" while posing for photos Dec. 6 at the L'Oreal Paris 12th Annual Women of Worth event.

Longoria was married twice before her union with Baston, but shared no children with Tyler Christopher or Tony Parker. Baston, the president of Televisa, has four children from a previous relationship.

Longoria, 42, and Baston, 49, married at the latter's home in Valle de Bravo, Mexico, after dating for three years.

In 2014, Longoria gushed about her then-new relationship during an appearance on Ellen.

"He's very private," the actress said of Baston. "I'm very happy. He's a very good dresser. I have to always step it up now. It's exhausting!"

Which Grammy-winning singer will star in 'Jesus Christ Superstar Live!' on NBC?

John Legend will star in a live NBC staging of Jesus Christ Superstar.

The network announced in a news release Tuesday that Legend will play Jesus Christ in its forthcoming production of Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert!

"We're all overjoyed to have world-class musical artist and producer John Legend starring as Jesus," NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said. "This score demands a singer with an amazing range and an actor with great depth, and there isn't anyone better to bring this story to a new audience."

Jesus Christ Superstar is a rock opera from Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice that originally debuted on Broadway in 1971. The musical is loosely based on the Gospels' accounts of the last week of Jesus' life.

"John Legend is a superstar," Rice lauded. "As a performer, his voice is infectious and effortless. As an actor, he is believable and honest. I'm thrilled he will be able to share his portrayal of Jesus with the world."

Legend, a 10-time Grammy winner who last released the album Darkness and Light in December 2016, said he's "thrilled" to star in the production. He joins rock star Alice Cooper, who will play King Herod.

"I'm thrilled to join the cast of this production," Legend said. "It's such a powerful, meaningful musical and I'm humbled to be a part of this performance."

Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert! will air on Easter Sunday, April 1.
