'Walking Dead' wraps up first half of Season 8 with shocking twist [Spoiler alert!]
The Walking Dead wrapped up the first half of its eighth season by showing a longtime zombie-apocalypse survivor apparently on his deathbed.

Carl Grimes, the character Chandler Riggs has played since the show began, saved the lives of his family and friends in a bloody battle with Negan [played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan] and the Saviors, but he revealed to his father Rick [played by Andrew Lincoln] at the end of the action-packed episode that he had been bitten in the abdomen by a walker.

Carl fought off several undead attackers in a previous episode, but it was unclear until Sunday night's episode whether a zombie had actually broken his skin in a spot which would prove fatal, meaning it could not be amputated.

Asked by host Chris Hardwick on the analysis program Talking Dead if there is any chance Carl might survive the injury, executive producer Scott M. Gimple said: "That is a bite on his side. ... It will play out as bites play out on the show. ...

"It's very important to Carl's story and the entire story what happens in the next episode. So, I am just focused on the fact that Carl, right now, is alive and he has some business to attend to," Gimple said. "That is a one-way ticket, but I'd like to think that the things that we see in the next episode are so important to his life and the other characters' lives."

"A lot of really hard work has gone into this episode from the entire cast and crew to make something incredible, exciting, and emotional. you don't wanna miss this one. trust me," Riggs tweeted before the episode aired.

He followed up after the broadcast with: "Jokes aside, thank you. you'll hear from me soon."

Season 8 is to continue early next year.

Warner Bros. Pictures released Sunday the first, full-length trailer for filmmaker Steven Spielberg's adaptation of Ernest Cline's novel Ready Player One.

Starring Mark Rylance, Tye Sheridan, Olivia Cooke, Simon Pegg, Ben Mendelsohn and T.J. Miller, the movie is set for release March 30. Spielberg directed the picture from a screenplay by Cline and Zak Penn.

When an unlikely young hero named Wade Watts decides to join the contest, he is hurled into a breakneck, reality-bending treasure hunt through a fantastical universe of mystery, discovery and danger."

Spielberg's films include The Post, Bridge of Spies, Lincoln, Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan. Artificial Intelligence and the Indiana Jones franchise. The most recent, live-action, sci-fi movie Spielberg directed was 2008's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Hannibal Buress arrested in Miami during Art Basel
Comedian Hannibal Buress was arrested for disorderly conduct early Sunday morning in Miami.

Buress was booked at 1:34 a.m. EST on Sunday and posted bail a few hours later at 6 a.m., according to the Miami Herald.

An onlooker took video of the arrest and posted it on Twitter. In the video, Buress is standing outside a police car while handcuffed and asking two police officers why he's being arrested.

"Explain what I'm detained for," Buress says.

"For trespassing," one of the officers answers.

The arrest occurred in Miami's popular Wynwood neighborhood, an area full of bars and restaurants that also one of the sites for the city's annual Art Basel event.

After some verbal back and forth, Buress smiles and tells the officers: "Y'all goofy as [expletive.] You know y'all goofy as [expletive], right?"

Radio talk show host Andy Slater tweeted that the incident started when Buress asked one of the cops to call him an Uber.

According to the police report, the officer refused to call an Uber for the comedian and instead told him to leave the area. But Buress went inside a venue. The officer then went inside the venue, took Buress out and told him to leave the entire area altogether.

"Once outside, the defendant stood by the front gate and continued yelling profanities," the officer's report says. "I, then again, asked him to leave the area about five times. A crowd began to gather and vehicular traffic slowed as they watched the defendant yelling and being disorderly. Defendant arrested."
