1 Corinthians 12:1-6

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant: You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led.

Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God call Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.

There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works in all.

Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

The issue of speaking in tongues has become a hot topic amongst Christians in our day. For the next week or two we will go through the chapters in 1 Corinthians in which Paul teaches in detail about the gift of speaking in tongues.

If we read, study, and pray we can be confident that the Holy Spirit will guide us into truth and give us the gifts that He wills to give us. We are admonished by Paul to not be ignorant about these things!

God Bless You!

--ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. What prophesy did a man of God make while Jeroboam burned incense at the altar?

A. Then he cried out against the altar by the word of the Lord, and said, "O altar, altar! Thus says the Lord:

'Behold, a child, Josiah by name, shall be born to the house of David; and on you he shall sacrifice the priests of the high places who burn incense on you, and men's bones shall be burned on you.'"

1 Kings 13:2

The man of God, whose name is not given, made this prophesy concerning the priests that would be burned on the altar during the reign of Josiah.
