Ephesians 5:1-5

Therefore, be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving thanks.

For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

Recently a reader sent in the idea of creating a memory quilt of old ties. Several people have sent in other creative ideas.

These include making quilts out of T-shirts, sports shirts, dresses, hankies, and even old blue jeans! Another idea, in which our family happens to be participating right now, is creating a group quilt where each individual or family contributes one square that is personalized in some way.

What tremendous gifts all these beautiful quilts would make! Appropriate for all kinds of occasions: to remember a loved one, to send a teen off to college, birthdays, anniversaries, you name it, there's no limit!

The effort truly would represent a gift of love that would be appreciated by anyone who received one.

God Bless You!

--FEATURED FUNNY:

Little Johnny was asked by his teacher if he could give an example of a double negative. Little Johnny slowly shook his head and replied, "I can't think of no double negatives."

--ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. What was the sacrifice of peace offerings that Solomon offered when the temple was dedicated?

A. And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered to the Lord, twenty-two thousand bulls and one hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the Lord.

1 Kings 8:63

It is hard to imagine the blood-bath this kind of sacrifice created when you consider the massive number of animals that were killed. It truly shows the ugliness of sin.
