Chloe Grace Moretz says male co-star fat-shamed her as teen
Chloe Grace Moretz says she was left in tears after a male co-star fat-shamed her as a teen.

The 20-year-old actress recalled in an interview for Variety's Power of Young Hollywood issue how an actor in his 20s told her she was "too big" to date when she was 15.

"This guy that was my love interest was like, 'I'd never date you in real life,' and I was like, 'What?' And he was like, 'Yeah, you're too big for me' -- as in my size," she recounted. "It was one of the only actors that ever made me cry on set."

Moretz didn't share the actor's identity, but did say he was "23, 24 or 25" when she was 15. She said she went "bawling" to one of her four brothers after the incident, but pretended like nothing happened on set.

"I had to pick it up and go back on set and pretend he was a love interest, and it was really hard," the star confessed.

"It just makes you realize that there are some really bad people out there and for some reason, he felt the need to say that to me," she said. "You have to kind of forgive and not forget really, but it was just like wow. It was jarring. I look back on it and I was 15, which is really, really dark."

Moretz apologized in May after fans called out her movie Red Shoes and the 7 Dwarfs for body-shaming in a marketing campaign. The film used an ad featuring a thin Snow White next to a heavier version of herself, with the tagline, "What if Snow White was no longer beautiful and the 7 Dwarfs not so short?"

"I have now fully reviewed the mkting for Red Shoes, I am just as appalled and angry as everyone else, this wasn't approved by me or my team," Moretz tweeted at the time.

"Pls know I have let the producers of the film know. I lent my voice to a beautiful script that I hope you will all see in its entirety," she added.

Andy Samberg, wife Joanna Newsom welcome first child
Andy Samberg and his wife, singer-songwriter Joanna Newsom have welcomed their first child together, a baby girl.

A rep for the Brooklyn Nine-Nine star confirmed the birth of his child to Us Weekly. The private couple have kept Newsom's pregnancy under wraps and did not publicly announce the arrival of their daughter.

No other details including the baby's name and exact date of birth have been announced at this time, noted People magazine.

Samberg, 38, and Newsom, 35, tied the knot in September 2013 after dating for five years.

"I love babies," Samberg told reporters previously in January 2016. "I would love to have a baby someday."

LOOSE LIPS:
"I kind of wish numbers didn't exist sometimes, because I feel like I'm 15 some days, and then other days I wake up and I'm 40."

Which former cast member will return for Season 11 of the 'The X-Files'?

The X-Files Season 11 will feature the return of Annabeth Gish.

The 46-year-old actress confirmed she will reprise her role as Monica Reyes in a new season of the Fox revival starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.

"Shall we? #iwanttobelieve #monicareyes #xfiles," she wrote Sunday on Instagram.

Gish followed up by posting a throwback photo on Duchovny's 57th birthday Monday and a picture with stuntwoman Melissa Stubs on the show's set Tuesday in Vancouver, B.C.

"Love working with @actiongirl99 again in Van! #xfiles," she captioned the snapshot.

Gish originally played Monica in Seasons 8 and 9 of The X-Files, and returned for Season 10 after Fox revived the series. Fox Entertainment president David Madden teased Season 11 at the Television Critics Association summer press tour Tuesday.

"The first episode will be a mythology episode," Madden said of the new season, according to IGN. "Then there will be eight standalone episodes, and [end with another mythology episode]."

"You will see the Cigarette Smoking Man. You may even see, maybe, some tip to the Lone Gunmen along the line," he added. "There will be other characters from the previous mythology that will be reprised."

The X-Files will return for an 11th season during the 2017-2018 television season. Gish is also known for playing Charlotte Millwright on The Bridge, Sheriff Althea Jarry on Sons of Anarchy and Diane Gould on Halt and Catch Fire.
