2 Corinthians 5:5-10

Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord.

For we walk by faith, not by sight...

Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

Some years ago, when we had a death in the family, a neighbor brought me a meatloaf. It was a quiet little offering of comfort from a hard-working, single mom that I barely knew.

In the midst of all the weeping, I had forgotten to eat; that day she truly became my neighbor by helping me at a point of need. I've never forgotten it.

If we are open and willing, the Holy Spirit will show us ways to be good neighbors, wherever we live!

God Bless You!

"The richness of the human experience would lose something of rewarding joy if there were no limitations to overcome."

--FEATURED FUNNY:

Little Johnny's mother was having difficulty gulping down the birthday cake he had made for her as a surprise. When she was finished, Little Johnny happily exclaimed,

"I'm so glad you like it, Mommy. There should have been 32 candles on the cake, but they were all gone when I took it out of the oven."

--ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. Which of Joseph's brothers planned to spare his life and return him to his father?

A. Reuben

But Reuben heard of it (the plans to kill Joseph) and he delivered him out of their hands, and said, "Let us not kill him." And Reuben said to them, "Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit which is in the wilderness, and do not lay a hand on him" -that he might deliver him out of their hands, and bring him back to his father.

Genesis 37:21-22

Another brother, Judah, did not want Joseph killed either; it was he who suggested selling him into slavery rather than letting him die down in the pit. (Genesis 37:26-27)
