To all of our loving Fathers out there Happy Father's Day
this weekend and I hope you don't get another of those
singing flapping Billy Bass fish for the wall or a crazy
tie. We love you Dad, Daddio, Father, Pop, Pops, and all
the other affectionate things we call you.

What to make for Father's Day? Anything he wants! And don't
please don't be the least bit offended if he actually just
wants a little peace and quiet or some of his to-do list
taken care of for the day. I was reminded recently of the
time oh more than a few years back where I mowed the lawn
for my first time for my Hubby, I was so determined and
happy to oblige this task so he could relax but how do you
suppose it went? Well..... let's just say that was the
one and only time he let me mow the lawn lol. I give me a
big E for effort but Hubby likes to tell how I spelled my
name in the lawn with the mower. It was actually cut so
low I'm just lucky it wasn't bare dirt when I was done.
Call me an overachiever? One of my fave Father's Day
memories was when the kids were just tots was when we
did a Daddy car wash and all took more of a soapy bath
than his car!

Well this one goes out to the men today both Dads and
all Dad figures ...a simple assortment of STEAKS on
on the grill what could be better? Also look below for
another great steak seasoning idea with roasted garlic
and peppercorn.

Enjoy & have a great weekend!

Enjoy!

GREAT ALTERNATE SEASONING RECIPE FOR GRILLED STEAKS:

1 head of roasted garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 teaspoons of freshly cracked peppercorns

DIRECTIONS:
Firmly grasp the top of the garlic head and squeeze
out the cloves. Combine garlic, peppercorns and oil
and mix well. Spread the mixture over the steaks and
grill for about 8-10 minutes or to your liking.

* TO ROAST GARLIC...

This is a simple thing to do and a great ingredient
for most any recipe. Prepare Roasted Garlic Heads
ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator
for up to 2 weeks. Just take 1 whole head of garlic
and Carefully trim off the root end and remove the
paper outer skin. Brush with olive oil and wrap in
aluminum foil. Place on preheated grill for 1 hour
or until the cloves become soft.
