2 John 6-9

This is love, that we walk according to His commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it. For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh.

This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward.

Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.

Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

"Can Christians have fun?" asked a reader. We can look to the Bible for examples by which we should pattern our conduct. In 1 Thessalonians 5:22 Paul says "to abstain from all appearance of evil."

3 John 11 says, "Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God."

Paul says in 1 Corinthians 11:1, "Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ." We have the most excellent examples to follow in Jesus and the apostles.

"Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!" (Philippians 4:4) By being obedient to the Word of God, our joy will be boundless!

God Bless You!

--FEATURED FUNNY:

"I'm sorry about the delay, Reverend," the passport officer said. "Everyone waits until the last moment to get ready for a trip they know they are going to take."

"I understand," the minister said. "I have the same problem in my business."

--ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. At which gate of the temple did the lame man lay daily to ask alms of those who entered there?

A. Beautiful

Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms.

Acts 3:1-3

The sixth verse then contains Peter's famous words: "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!"
