Psalm 5:11-12

But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;
Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them;
Let those also who love Your name be joyful in You.
For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous;
With favor You will surround him as with a shield.

Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

Speaking of God's blessings, we realized how much for granted we took them when our power was knocked out for fifteen hours during a storm. No lights, no refrigerator, no dishwasher!

Suddenly, after fifteen hours, flipping the switch and getting light seemed like a wonderful thing! Simple things like using the radio and the toaster had an element of adventure. If only we could make that feeling last!

As always, prayer will help to keep us humble, and grateful for every blessing that God has bestowed upon us.

God Bless You!

- Laurence J. Peter

--FEATURED FUNNY:

A couple was standing in the ticket line at the concert hall when the husband remarked, "I wish we'd brought along our piano bench."

"What in the world for?" his wife asked.

"Because the tickets are inside the seat."

--ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. What were the names of Elimelech and Naomi's sons?

A. Mahlon and Chilion

...and the names of his two sons were Mahlon and Chilion-Ephrathities of Bethlehem, Judah. And they went to the country of Moab and remained there. Then Elimelech, Naomi's husband, died; and she was left, and her two sons.

Ruth 1:2&3

They had to leave their home and travel to a foreign country to escape the famine, and there Naomi suffered the loss of her husband. It is all said in a few lines but imagine all the stress and heartache that is hidden there.
