John 20:28-31

And Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!" Jesus said to him, "Thomas, because you have seem Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

Extra-Biblical writings must be tested against the Word of God for validity. I am always amazed at the "artistic license" taken in these types of endeavors, as if the Word of God isn't incredible enough in all the detail it gives.

In fact, if we believe the Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit of God, it gives all the detail we need!

God Bless You!

--TODAY'S BIT OF WISDOM/REFLECTION:

"Nobody ever outgrows Scripture; the book widens and deepens with our years."

-Spurgeon

--FEATURED FUNNY:

Little Johnny's father asked him what he wanted for his birthday. "A baby brother," he said. Later that year, his mother came home from the hospital with a baby boy.

Little Johnny was delighted. "And what would you like this year for your birthday?" his father asked.

He said, "If it isn't too uncomfortable for mother, I would like a pony."

--ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. Who took Jesus' body from the cross to bury Him?

A. Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus

After this, Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly, for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus.

And Nicodemus, who at first came to Jesus by night, also came, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds. Then they took the body of Jesus and bound it in strips of linen with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury.

John 19:38-40

All four gospels record Joseph of Arimathea taking away Jesus' body for burial. Only John records the presence of Nicodemus.
