Here's the Scoop...

As a movie fan I see all kinds of movies. The good, the bad, the overrated, the underrated - I see just about all of them.

Sometimes you read, hear, or become aware of a movie that makes you scratch your hear and say, "WHY?!"

Here's a headline, from one of today's stories, that makes me do such a thing - "Will Smith in talks to join Guy Ritchie's live-action 'Aladdin' remake."

Why do we need a live-action 'Aladdin' remake? Why Will Smith? Why Guy Ritchie? Why?

Oh, I know why...those live-action Disney remakes make the big bucks. Will Smith needs a hit movie. Guy Ritchie need to rebound from the failures of 'The Man from U.N.C.L.E.' and the forthcoming 'King Arthur: Legend of the Sword'. Many money is the reason for it. MONEY!

Makes sense to me, and it will happen, but I don't like it.

Be Well,
Steve

Lauren Hutton stars in Calvin Klein underwear ad at 73
Lauren Hutton stars in a new Calvin Klein underwear ad at age 73.

The model and actress appears alongside Kirsten Dunst, Rashida Jones and other women in the new campaign, which was directed by Sofia Coppola.

Calvin Klein described the ad on its website as "a star-studded affair celebrating women" of all ages. Hutton also filmed a solo interview where she shared a story of a corny pickup line that worked.

"I mean, that was the corniest pickup line I'd ever heard in my life, and it was fabulous," she said with a smile.

Hutton came to fame as a model in the 1960s, and has modeled for Calvin Klein, Revlon and Chanel. She posed nude for the Big magazine feature "Lauren Hutton: The Beautiful Persists" at age 61 in 2005.

"I want [women] not to be ashamed of who they are when they're in bed," the star told Good Morning America the same year. "Society has told us to be ashamed."

"The really important [thing] is that women understand not to listen to a 2,000-year-old patriarchal society," she added.

Hutton is also known for playing Billie in the 1974 film The Gambler and Michelle in the 1980 movie American Gigolo. She last appeared in the 2013 short film Walking Stories.

Which British actress wanted to marry Rob Lowe as a teen?

Kate Beckinsale wanted to marry 1980s heartthrob Rob Lowe as a teen.

The 43-year-old actress discovered an old postcard at her mom's house Wednesday that features Lowe's imagined response to her marriage proposal.

"EITHER I was a really tragic 13 year old with time on my hands OR Rob Lowe was all kinds of casual proposing marriage via a postcard of himself," she captioned a photo of the card. "(found at my mum's house)."

Lowe, now 53, skyrocketed to fame after appearing in such films as The Outsiders, Oxford Blues and St. Elmo's Fire. He married Sheryl Berkoff in 1991, and shares sons Matthew and John with the makeup artist.

"I was talking [with my sons] about some young actor the other day who's like the 'it guy,'" the star told Yahoo! in October. "And I said, 'You know, I get it, I've been there.'"

"I looked over at my kids and they were literally rolling their eyes and making the gag motion. I finally had to turn to them and [say], 'No, no, listen. Google it! It's the truth,'" he said.

Beckinsale herself shares daughter Lily with ex-partner Michael Sheen. She last appeared in the movie Underworld: Blood Wars, and will star in The Only Living Boy in New York with Pierce Brosnan.
