Mark 9:23-24

Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!"

Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

How can we have more faith; is it something that we can ask God for? The answer is an absolute YES! To have faith is to believe. The apostle Paul preached "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
(Romans 10:9)

Time after time Jesus healed people because they believed that He could: "Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you." (Matthew 8:13);

When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, "Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you." (Matthew 9:2);

"Be of good cheer, daughter, your faith has made you well." (Matthew 9:22); and

"According to your faith let it be to you." (Matthew 9:29).

The apostles were rebuked by Jesus several times for their lack of faith, and they asked Jesus to increase their faith. Jesus responded by saying, "If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,' and it would obey you." (see Luke 17:5-6)

Faith is something we can ask God for; He will not deny us!

God Bless You!

--ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. What are the names of the twelve apostles?

A. Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus whose surname was Thaddaeus; Simon the Cananite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him.

Matthew 10:2-4

Most people have no problem remembering the first four names and the last one, but it is those seven in between that seem to evade us! Peter, Andrew, James, and John were the most prominent apostles and are always listed in that order.
