Hello Everyone!

Every so often I like to feature a great organization that helps others, and take not just monetary donations.

Today I'm featuring Operation Gratitude. Operation Gratitude annually sends over 200,000 care packages filled with food, handmade items, hygiene items, along with letters of appreciation to Veterans, First Responders, Wounded Heroes, and to individually named U.S. service members deployed overseas and their families here waiting at home.

Their mission is to lift the spirits and meet the needs of Military and First Responder communities to express their appreciation to all who serve our nation.

Each package contains donated itmes valued at $45-100, and costs the organization $15 to assemble and ship.

Since 2003, they have shipped 1.6 million care packages. WOW!

Of course they will take monetary donations, but here are a few other items they will also accept. Lip balm, hand sanitizer, toothbrushes, shaving cream, pens, hats, gloves, used iPods, and so much more that I simply can't list them all.

Loosen a rusty screw using this handy little trick

Coca-cola is effective at removing rust. So... if you're stuck with a rusty screw that won't budge, just pour some Coke over it and try unscrewing it. Within seconds, the screw will come loose.

Have a problem getting a greasy stain out of clothes?

Fear no more, there's an easy trick to eliminate this laundry worry. First...Soak the laundry item in Coca-cola for at least 20 minutes, scrub a little and immediately put it in the washing machine. The stain will be gone as if it was never there.
