Hello Animal Lovers,

Part 2 in my Antarctica slideshow! This video features my favorite and most entertaining animals from the trip - and most surprising might I add: seals! I had no idea there would be so many seals where we would be. I was perfectly prepared to see the penguins, but seals? Thought they would be rare.

But oh boy was I wrong! There were a ton of seals everywhere we went. Mostly angry fur seals, but there were a bunch of cute and expressive southern elephant seals too. I took this short compilation of videos in South Georgia on perhaps the most beautiful days of the trip. Youll see plenty of king penguins in this clip as well, since they hang out together without incidents.

On our trip, we were accompanied by a seal expert who taught us about their habits. The tiny seals are weaners, less than a year old, and the teenagers are the larger ones fighting for territory and are sexually frustrated. Youll see at one point a rather excited seal on the beach try a lil sumthin sumthin with a weaner. Alas, that is the curse of being a cute seal on the beach.

Pleasant Watching,
