The other week I did an issue on home improvements and renovations. These kinds of hints and suggestions apply to only a small fraction of money-savers at any time because most people are not prepared to start retiling their bathrooms or replacing their insulation.

One, they are expensive projects up front, and two, not everybody is a homeowner.

But saving money with a few simple improvements to your home doesn't have to involve a big project. It can be as simple as using the right kind of light bulbs.
