Greetings Thrifty Friends,

The other week I did an issue on home improvements and renovations. These kinds of hints and suggestions apply to only a small fraction of money-savers at any time because most people are not prepared to start retiling their bathrooms or replacing their insulation.

One, they are expensive projects up front, and two, not everybody is a homeowner.

But saving money with a few simple improvements to your home doesn't have to involve a big project. It can be as simple as using the right kind of light bulbs.

Please scroll down for more.

Keep pinchin' those pennies,

TODAY'S THRIFTY TIP:

How would you like to save $100, $120, $150 or more in electricity bills over the life of just one light bulb?

Incandescent Bulbs use up a ton of energy. LED versions can save you this much money!

We have an assortment of these lights that are loaded with features for a super low price.

These aren't just any run of the mill LED Light Bulbs... these are dimmable from 100 percent to 10 percent (must have dimmable light switch and/or fixture). Depending on the bulb you choose you can expect it to last between 23 to 27 years or 25,000 to 30,000 hours. Not only does this save you so much money, think of all the hassles of trying to reach your bulbs to replace them.

When you compare this to a regular bulb that lasts about 2,000 hours it's a no brainer. But then when you factor in how much less electricity they use you're saving all the way around; using these will save you approximately $161.70 per bulb over the course of its life That's PER BULB! So a pack of 4 is an electricity savings of $646.80

Depending on the bulb you choose you can replace your regular 60 Watt bulbs or your regular 75 Watt bulbs.

Bulb lasts between 25,000 to 30,000 hours (regular bulbs last only 2,000). Dimmable from 100 percent to 10 percent (must have dimmable light switch and/or fixture).
