Hello Music lovers,

You hear a lot of complaints about Metallica from time to time - they're overrated, they aren't heavy enough, or they are too loud. Well I disagree with all those counts - these guys make some of the most polished and intricate songs around. Even if they weren't in the heavy metal genre, they should be appreciated for their song writing techniques.

Perhaps that's why their album, Master of Puppets was just selected to be preserved in the US Historical Registry. It was deemed "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant."

VH1 once had a countdown for the top 50 rock albums, and Fade to Black ranked at number 12. The song opens with a blistering solo over some minstrel-like arpeggios. This video features a much more unpolished version than the studio recording, but the energy from the band and crowd is certainly there.

Pleasant Watching,

Number 12 on VH1s Top Anthems, this live performance of Fade to Black is pretty awesome.

The Rolling Stones Jumpin Jack Flash already sounded like an anthem of the 60s, but this sitar cover makes it sound even more so!
