'I Am Love' DVD

Tilda Swinton's fine performance, a lush visual style and a
score by John Adams (Nixon in China, On the Transmigration of
Souls) are key features of this Italian-language melodrama.
Emma (Swinton) is a Russian woman who has married into the
wealthy Recchi family, who run a successful textile business
based in Milan. Early in the film, Emma's aging father-in-law
announces he is passing the business on to her husband and
her son. Then Emma learns her daughter is in love with a
woman. But Emma herself gets into a passionate affair with a
working-class man who is her son's age.

'Jonah Hex' DVD

Josh Brolin and John Malkovich star in this Western based on
a DC Comics series. Jonah Hex (Brolin) is a Civil War veteran
with a horribly disfigured face. He was mutilated by another
Civil War vet, Quentin Turnbull (Malkovich), who also killed
his wife and child. Now the malevolent Turnbull has weaponry
that could enable him to bring down US President Ulysses S. -
Grant (Aidan Quinn). But in the post-war era, Hex has become
a vengeful bounty hunter who has a special power that enables
him to communicate with the dead. Also, a prostitute (Megan
Fox) carries a torch for him.

'How to Train Your Dragon' DVD

This animated fantasy adventure is based on the children's
book by Cressida Cowell. The setting is a mythical Viking
village with a longstanding tradition of making heroes of
those who slay dragons. The central character is an adoles-
cent boy named Hiccup (voice of Jay Baruchel), who finds a
wounded dragon he names Toothless. Hiccup and Toothless bond
as the boy nurses the dragon back to health and ends up
flying on the creature's back. Hiccup's father is the vil-
lage chief and is voiced by Gerard Butler. Also, Hiccup is
attracted to a Viking girl (voiced by America Ferrera).
