Colossians 3:1
If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.
Greetings Bible Enthusiast!
Thursday we talked about making New Year's resolutions. If you are trying to avoid sins that repeatedly 'trip you up,' a strategy to help overcome the sin might be to replace it with something wholesome. For example, if you struggle with drinking too much and getting ugly while under the influence, don't just grit your teeth while struggling with the temptation to get drunk. Instead, go to a Christian coffee house, or a mid-week service or Bible study. Get together with other Christians and replace getting drunk with bowling, skating, going to a movie. . . . Let friends and the body of Christ at large help you and edify you, while you overcome the temptation!
