Here's the Scoop...

Good new, friends! Harrison Ford won't die in 'Indiana Jones 5', says Spielberg.

Director Steven Spielberg vowed as much while discussing the new installment of the franchise with The Hollywood Reporter. Ford, 73, has portrayed the adventurer in four previous Indiana Jones films.

"[I'm] super excited," Spielberg said of the sequel. "I think this one is straight down the pike for fans. The one thing I will tell you is I'm not killing off Harrison at the end of it."

Ford was not so lucky in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, as his iconic character, Han Solo, met his end at the hands of Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). Disney had confirmed the actor would return as Indy when they announced the fifth movie in March.

"Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can't wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019," Disney chairman Alan Horn said at the time.

"It's rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn't be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven," he added.

Ford first played Indy in Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) and last appeared in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008). Producer Frank Marshall revealed in April further sequels are possible, but said he can only envision Ford in the role.

"It's all about the story," he told Variety. "I think both in the Jason Bourne series and on Indiana Jones, we are not going to do the Bond thing. We think those characters are iconic, and those are the only actors who can play that."

Indiana Jones 5 is scheduled to open in theaters July 19, 2019. Ford is also slated to reprise Rick Deckard in Denis Villeneuve's Blade Runner sequel.

I can't help getting excited for another Indiana Jones flick. I love those movies, 'Crystal Skull' I just like as a friend. I think number 5 is going to be right on the money. I've got my fingers crossed.

Be Well,
Steve

Tyler Hoechlin to play Superman on 'Supergirl'
Tyler Hoechlin will play Superman in Supergirl on The CW.

The network confirmed the 28-year-old actor will portray the superhero in a tweet Thursday after announcing Hoechlin's casting in a press release the same day.

"It's a bird...it's a plane...it's @TylerL_Hoechlin as Superman! #SupergirlCW is coming to The CW this fall," the show tweeted from its official Twitter account.

Hoechlin will play Clark Kent, aka Superman, in Season 2, which premieres in October. The character communicated with Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) in Season 1, but has yet to come face-to-face with his cousin as an adult.

"Greg [Berlanti] and I have wanted to work with Tyler for ages, so this worked out perfectly because Tyler is Superman," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said in a statement. "We are so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character."

Kreisberg previously announced Superman would appear in Season 2 but had yet to reveal Hoechlin's casting. Tom Welling, who played the superhero in The WB/CW series Smallville, was among those rumored for the role.

"Greg, Ali [Adler] and I are beyond thrilled to welcome Clark Kent and his slightly-more-famous alter ego to the world of Supergirl," Kreisberg said at the time. "Superman will be appearing in the first two episodes of the new season."

Hoechlin is known for playing Martin Brewer in 7th Heaven and Derek Hale in Teen Wolf. He is also slated for the Fifty Shades of Grey sequel Fifty Shades Darker with Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan.

LOOSE LIPS:
"I have boundary issues in that I have none. So sometimes when people recognize me from the show, I geek out over them geeking out about me to the point where they have to walk away."

Which 'Full House' star has been cast in 'Scream Queens' Season 2?

Lady Gaga reportedly vying for a role in 'A Star Is Born' remake
After much back and forth, it seems as though Bradley Cooper has finally found his star.

Cooper, who will make his directorial debut in the upcoming remake of the 1937 classic A Star Is Born, has been eyeing Lady Gaga for the role of the fledgling starlet, and sources say she is finally on board.

Cooper, also starring in the movie, has been looking for a leading lady since Beyonce dropped out of the project in 2012 due to scheduling conflicts.

Clint Eastwood was originally in talks to direct, but has since bowed out as well.

A Star Is Born tells the story of a fading actor who lends his expertise to an up-and-coming young actress. If Gaga takes the role, she'll join the ranks of Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand who each took on the role in their respective remakes.

Gaga, widely known for her pop career, won a Golden Globe for her performance in American Horror Story: Hotel.

Sources say production on the film could start as early as February 2017.

Which 'Full House' star has been cast in 'Scream Queens' Season 2?

John Stamos is headed for Scream Queens Season 2.

Fox announced the 52-year-old actor's casting and a premiere date for the new season in a press release Thursday.

Season 2 will take place in a hospital and feature Stamos in a series regular role. The Fuller House star will play Dr. Brock Holt, the hospital's "brilliant, but secretive, head surgeon."

Stamos joins returning stars Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin, Lea Michele, Jamie Lee Curtis, Keke Palmer, Billie Lourd, Glen Powell and Niecy Nash, who will reprise their Season 1 characters.

"I think it'll be dark. I think it's going to be very dark," Curtis said of the new season to E! News in May. "[There's] a lot of darkness in hospitals -- dark hallways, scary rooms, sharp objects, a lot of blood, disinfectants."

"I don't know how [my character] can get any darker than [she] did in Season 1 but hey, whatever [series creator] Ryan Murphy wants me to do I am totally down with," Michele added. "I get to be even crazier this year than I was last year, if you can believe it!"

Scream Queens Season 2 will premiere Sept. 20. Stamos also plays Uncle Jesse on Fuller House, which started filming a second season this week.
