Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

It is a good discipline to keep your eyes on what God has called you to do and not get sidetracked. Jesus said, "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)

God Bless You!

--TODAY'S NOT SO TRIVIAL TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. To whom did Jesus say, "If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?"

Answer below.

------------------------------------------------------------

--DAILY BIBLE VERSE:

Philippians 3:13-14

I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

--TODAY'S BIT OF WISDOM/REFLECTION:

With each new day, I put away the past and discover the new beginnings I have been given.

--FEATURED FUNNY:

The phone rang. It was a salesman from a mortgage refinance company. "Do you have a second mortgage on your home?"

"No," I replied.

"Would you like to consolidate all your debts?"

"I really don't have any," I said.

"How about freeing up cash for home improvements?" he tried.

"I don't need any. I just recently had some done and paid cash," I parried.

There was a brief silence, and then he asked, "Are you looking for a husband?"

--ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. To whom did Jesus say, "If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?"

A. Nicodemus

John 3:9-12

Nicodemus answered and said to [Jesus],"How can these things be?"

Jesus answered and said to him, "Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?"
