Reese Witherspoon almost knocked Sofia Vergara's teeth out while filming 'Hot Pursuit'
During an interview promoting their new movie Hot Pursuit, Sofia Vergara said that Reese Witherspoon almost knocked her teeth out.

When the co-stars weren't busy lip synching to a Taylor Swift song they sat down with Marc Malkin from E! News and told him about the one day on set when things could have gotten really bad.

"She almost made me toothless because she hit me with a deer hoof," the Modern Family star said about the Oscar-winning actress.

Witherspoon responded, "I was trying to cover myself with a deer skin and it flopped over and hit her in the teeth. It was bad...That was like the second day of shooting and I thought she was going to quit. It wasn't funny."

That wasn't the only physical infraction the comedic duo encountered while filming. Witherspoon endured some injuries herself, when Vergara sent the Wild star to the hospital for a possible popped ovary.

Vergara jokingly responded, "I really didn't care. I just wanted to make sure she was not going to delay everything, that she was going to show up on the set the next day." She said, "Accidents happen when you're doing this kind of high-intensity [work]."

Hot Pursuit opens in theaters May 8.

'Lord of the Rings' cinematographer Andrew Lesnie dies at 59
The international film community is grieving the loss of Andrew Lesnie, the cinematographic master behind The Lord of the Rings and The Water Diviner, who died Monday from a heart attack.

The 59-year-old filmmaker started out as an assistant camera operator in the late '70s and worked in the industry for almost 40 years. Lesnie partnered most recently with Russell Crowe, who called him, "The master of the light," in a tweet after receiving the news.

In 2002, Lesnie won the Academy Award for best cinematography for The Fellowship of the Ring. He also worked on the Hobbit films, I Am Legend and two Babe films, among many more.

The Australian Cinematographers Society confirmed his death on Tuesday. "We have been advised of the sudden death of Andrew," said a spokesman. Lesnie's family is expected to release a statement regarding his death in the near future.

'Grey's Anatomy' casts Joe Adler in wake of Patrick Dempsey's departure
After the dramatic exit of McDreamy, Grey's Anatomy is in need of some new blood.

Joe Adler (The Mentalist, The Maze Runner) has been casted to appear in the 11th season's last two episodes, Hollywood Reporter confirms. Adler's character is being kept a secret, but it's expected that he will play a new intern at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. He joins Giacomo Gianniotti (Reign)--who has also been casted to reemerge this season.

Last week, Grey's leading man, Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey), died after being struck by a truck. Many of the drama's longtime fans were shocked, reacting in anger and disbelief.

In an attempt to ease the backlash, showrunner Shonda Rhimes promises a new chapter of "uncharted territory" for the show and its main character, Meredith.

Grey's Anatomy airs Thursdays at 8 P.M. on ABC.

Hulu paid $1M per episode to stream 'Seinfeld'
Video digital service, Hulu, signed a $180 million deal with Sony Pictures for all 180 episodes of Seinfeld.

The show, which originally aired from 1989 to 1998 on NBC, has been on syndication on several networks through out the years but can finally call Hulu home.

Variety first reported the news that the show landed the SVOD rights. The profit will be divided between "distributor Sony TV, Time Warner's Castle Rock and Seinfeld profit participants, including star/co-creator Jerry Seinfeld and co-creator Larry David."

Jerry Seinfeld told the the audience at today's Hulu upfront presentations that fans will get to see full episodes instead the edited ones aired on television today. "Now you will see the full thing as Larry and I cut it in the '90s as we thought it was best," the Verge reported.

Hulu also announced during the presentation that it made a deal with AMC to stream every new show the network creates within the next several years. It may not include Breaking Bad and Mad Men, but AMC has a track record for airing hit shows.
