Millions of people suffer from red skin. There are medicines, creams, and home remedies that can help to relieve the redness in your skin. But did you know that there are drinks that can do that as well? Some drinks have the power to help heal the skin temporarily. Not all drink recipes are meant to be drank though!

This first recipe is made up of mint (cooling agent), ginger (anti-inflammatory), green tea (antioxidant), and lemon (detoxifier). This drink not only soothes red, irritated skin from the inside out, but will also make it easier to stop drinking hot beverages, which will exacerbate facial redness.
Ingredients:
4 cups of water, divided
4 teabags green tea
1/2 cup chopped fresh mint leaves, tightly packed
1/3 cup chopped fresh ginger
1/4 cup agave
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
Lemon slices to garnish (optional)
Directions:
Bring 2 cups of water to a boil before reducing to a simmer. Add the green tea bags, chopped mint, ginger, and agave and let steep 30 minutes.
Strain the mixture into a large pitcher, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Add the remaining water and lemon juice.
Refrigerate until chilled.
Serve over ice.

This second recipe is not for drinking. It is actually for a face mask mixture! It is made up cucumber (to calm), yogurt (to reduce inflammation), and rose water (natural antiseptic that works wonders on rosacea), to create a mask that quickly and effectively cools, soothes, tones, and heals the skin.
Ingredients:
1/2 medium cucumber
1 rose in full bloom
1/4 cup of plain Greek yogurt.
Directions:
Mix the rose water with the yogurt to make a mask mixture.
Slice the cucumbers.
Put the mask on your face and the cucumbers on your eyes. Leave them on for ten minutes.
Wash off the mask with cool or luke warm water. Do not use hot water, as it dries out the skin and will make it redder.

This third recipe is not for drinking either. It is actually for constricting the dilated blood vessels in your skin which bring unwanted rosiness to your face. Believe it or not, the only ingredient is Coffee!
Directions:
Brew 1 cup of strong, caffeine coffee for 1 cup of water.
Refrigerate overnight or until chilled.
Soak a washcloth or cotton pads in the coffee and apply to the face for 10 to 15 minutes. Especially focus on the areas that contain the most redness.
Rinse clean with cool water.
