Dear friends, Saturday is the 148th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address. The Gettysburg Address was delivered by President Abraham Lincoln at the Soldiers' National Cemetery in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania months after the Union armies defeated the Confederacy at the Battle of Gettysburg.
It is one of the most well-known speeches in United States history. I implore you to seek out and read this brief, but powerful statement to the nation.
Today, thanks to two selected videos, you will learn about the Battle of Gettysburg, which had the largest number of casualties during the American Civil War, and the aftermath.
