Dear friends,

Wednesday was the seventieth anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. To remember this dark day in U.S. history watch President Franklin D. Roosevelt's famous address to Congress on the 8th of December.

Also, learn of the consequences that came soon after this horrible attack. It's a day in history that should never be forgotten.

With Pearl Harbor, Japan had shown that they were a force to be reckoned with, but many of the ships the Japanese destroyed were obsolete and their gamble that a terrible defeat would make the U.S. back down was wrong.
