Martin Short's Wife, Nancy Dolman, Dies...
Nancy Dolman, the wife of Father of the Bride star Martin Short,
has died, a representative of Martin said. Nancy, a former
actress, was 58.
"Sadly, we can confirm that Martin Short's wife did pass away,"
said Camille Kuznetz, adding no further details about time,
location or cause. "We do not have any other comment to make."
Saturday morning, Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics
responded to an emergency call for medical help at the
couple's Pacific Palisades home, though no one was
transported from the residence, said LAFD spokesman Brian
Humphrey.
The couple, married 30 years, had three children: Katherine,
26; Oliver, 24; and Henry, 21.
Martin and Nancy met during the 1972 Toronto production of
the musical Godspell, in which she was Gilda Radner's
understudy. In 1981, Nancy appeared in a recurring role
on the primetime TV series Soap, though she retired in 1985
to raise her family.
In 1984, Martin, then about to debut on Saturday Night Live,
commented about his early family life, in which his oldest
brother was killed in an auto accident when he was 12, and
both his mother, a violinist, and his father, a steel
executive, died before he was 21.
"It sounds like a tragic family, but it really isn't," he
said. "My mother had cancer, and she had been ill and
then in remission since I was 13. She was a remarkable
person; both my parents were. So I never looked at it as
if it was a tragedy, that I didn't have them my whole life.
You learn some sense of priorities. Our whole family took
the attitude that if you have wonderful moments, don't
second-guess them, just enjoy them."

Paris Hilton: Armed Man Arrested Outside My Home...
An armed would-be intruder was arrested outside Paris Hilton's
home in the Los Angeles area early Tuesday morning.
"So Scary, just got woken up to a guy trying to break into my
house holding 2 big knifes. Cops are here arresting him," Paris
Tweeted on Tuesday morning. She also posted a picture of police
in a courtyard next to a handcuffed man wearing jeans, sneakers
and a gray sweatshirt.
The suspect, described only as a man in his 40s, was taken
into custody at 6:30 a.m., according to Officer Gregory Baek.
"In the early hours of this morning an armed man with two
kitchen knives attempted to break in to Paris Hilton's home
when she was sleeping," her rep said in a statement Tuesday.
"The security cameras and alarm system were alerted and the
police immediately came to the house and arrested the intruder
who was attempting to break a window when they arrived. Paris
is naturally shaken by the events but is unharmed and well."

Lisa Marie Presley is demanding staff at her new English estate
sign strict privacy contracts, and has already fired two
employees for refusing to do so.
Elvis Presley's daughter drew up the confidentiality agreement
to prevent 'leaks' about her private life after she hit the
headlines in Britain following her move into the town of
Tunbridge Wells, Kent, on Tuesday.
The six-page document bans staff and their relatives from
discussing details of the building, furnishings, and decor,
including photos or mementos related to her relatives.
Lisa Marie is determined to retain her privacy. She immediately
dismissed two cleaners who asked to first take legal advice.
A source commented, "It was like they were being asked to sign
the Official Secrets Act. It was way over the top and they
felt it was a total infringement of their human rights.
"Staff could not speak to their husbands, wives or even their
grandchildren about what they did."
Lisa Marie reportedly picked the British town because of its
vicinity to East Grinstead, Sussex, where Scientology
founder L. Ron Hubbard settled in 1959 after moving from
the United States. She is a devout follower of the religion.

Spencer Pratt plans to go public with Heidi Montag sex tape...
Reality TV star Spencer Pratt is planning to go public with
a sex tape featuring himself and his soon-to-be ex-wife
Heidi Montag.
Internet porn boss Steven Hirsch has revealed he has spoken
with Pratt about the explicit footage and hopes to do a deal
with him to release it via his Vivid Entertainment company.
He tells TMZ.com, "I just got off the phone with Spencer
Pratt about a sex tape with Heidi Montag. We are in early
negotiations to possibly come to terms for a deal."
And Pratt tells UsMagazine.com, "I've been making films
since I was in the seventh grade. I'm looking forward to
people seeing my directorial debut!"
The news of the deal comes just days after Montag threatened
to sue her estranged husband if he went ahead with plans to
write a memoir revealing details about his romance with his
"The Hills" co-star.

Nick Cannon Dodges Latest Mariah Carey Pregnancy Rumors...
Photos of Mariah Carey in Brazil have generated another round
of pregnancy speculation, and another noncommittal response
from husband Nick Cannon.
"I've said it before and I'll say it time and time again,
when my wife feels like talking about whatever she wants
to talk about, you will hear it directly from her," Nick
said on his radio show.
Elaborating on a Twitter message he posted in June, Nick
stresses that the issue is delicate. "We all know it's
extremely personal, and it is for a woman to deal with
things with her body, and especially when dealing with
the idea of childbirth and all that stuff," he says.
But he explains that if there ever is news to announce,
the couple want to "strategically plan it out properly"
to avoid "media hoopla."
"That's something you want to keep near and dear and as
close to you as you possibly can, until you're 100% sure,
in any situation," he says. "There's a certain time limit
you're supposed to wait before you can actually officially
say that you are and all that stuff. You don't want to
mislead anybody."

It's Carrie Underwood...
Carrie, who recently revealed she likes to shop for groceries
in empty supermarkets at midnight, admits she used to have a
big problem with personal space when she was a teenager
growing up in Checotah, Oklahoma.
She comments, "I'm a big personal space person. You know,
if you go to the restroom, you use the stall that's not
near anybody. Or if you're in the gym, you go to the
treadmill where there's space in between you. And it seemed
like in crowded situations like that, people would just
completely violate your personal space."
Carrie also said that Christmas shopping was "my worst
nightmare" and reveals she still has moments when crowded
elevators make her start sweating, like one that took
place just a day before her interview.
She explains, "Every floor we stopped on, we'd cram more
people in, and by the time we were done, there was just a
ton of people.
"So I start thinking about all the bad things that can
happen, and I'm like, 'I've got to get off the elevator,
I need to get off the elevator.' I was just like, 'No
more stops, please, no more stops!'"
