Here's the Scoop....
TV bosses have confirmed "Sex and the City" is heading back to the small screen in the form of a prequel.
Long-running rumors have suggested the popular show, which spawned two movies, would be rebooted, and it has now been revealed executives at the CW network are working on a spin off based on a novel written by creator Candice Bushnell.
They have ordered a pilot episode based on "The Carrie Diaries," which focus on Sarah Jessica Parker's character Carrie Bradshaw while she is at high school.
The team behind "Gossip Girl," Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, have signed on as executive producers, according to Tvline.com.

Kristin Cavallari expecting first child...
Reality TV star Kristin Cavallari is expecting her first child with her football star fiance, Jay Cutler.
The couple first announced its plans to wed back in April but called off the engagement three months later. They reconciled at the end of the summer and now they have confirmed that they will be first-time parents.
The former "The Hills" star says, "We are thrilled to announce we are expecting our first child together. It's an amazing time in our life and we can't wait to meet the new addition to our growing family."
Tracy Morgan hospitalized after fainting at Sundance...
Comic Tracy Morgan has been taken to hospital after he fainted during an awards ceremony at the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday.
The "30 Rock" star was honored at the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards in Park City, Utah and reportedly fell unconscious outside the venue after giving his acceptance speech, according to reports.
An ambulance took the star to a nearby hospital for treatment and he was joined by his fiancee Megan Wollover.
The comedian's representative Lewis Kay has put the incident down to exhaustion and altitude sickness and dismissed reports, which suggested the star had been drinking.
Kay says, "From a combination of exhaustion and altitude, Tracy is seeking medical attention... He is with his fiance and grateful to the Park City Medical Center for their care. Any reports of Tracy consuming alcohol are 100 percent false."

Heidi Klum and Seal have confirmed they have split after seven years of marriage.
A statement reads, "While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul searching we have decided to separate.
"We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition.
"We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children's sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy."
Zoe Saldana helps woman in car accident...
Actress Zoe Saldana swooped in to help an elderly woman who was left badly bruised following a car accident on Wednesday.
The star rushed to the victim's side and escorted her out of harm's way and onto a nearby curb after witnessing the crash in Culver City, Calif.
An onlooker reveals Zoe was "very quick to help" adding, "(She) immediately got on the phone with 911 and she seemed very concerned. While waiting for help to arrive, Zoe returned to the woman's car and picked up the woman's handbag and sweater. Zoe was very caring and sweet to the woman."
Photos of the scene, which have been posted online, suggest the woman was conscious but in pain after suffering minor facial injuries.
