Thursday, November 27, 2014Greetings Bible Enthusiast!
Thanksgiving and praise can become a habit if one practices it on a regular basis. Philippians 4:6 says: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with THANKSGIVING, let your requests be made known to God."
One might ask, "How can I be thankful for this terrible situation in which I find myself?" That is where obedience comes in; we are to ask God, with thanksgiving, to take care of ALL our needs.
If we are determined to be obedient, then thanksgiving and praise will become a wonderful habit that encourages us personally and influences those around us as well.
Have a blessed day of Thanksgiving today and every day!
God Bless You!

--TODAY'S NOT SO TRIVIAL TRIVIA QUESTION: Q. What was the name of the woman who hid the two spies in Jericho? and what was her occupation?
Answer below.
********************--DAILY BIBLE VERSE:Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord, O my soul!
While I live I will praise the Lord;
I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.
Do not put your trust in princes,
Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.
His spirit departs, he returns to his earth;
In that very day his plans perish.
Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help,
Whose hope is in the Lord his God,
Who made heaven and earth,
The sea, and all that is in them;
Who keeps truth forever,
Who executes justice for the oppressed,
Who gives food to the hungry.
The Lord gives freedom to the prisoners.
The Lord opens the eyes of the blind;
The Lord raises those who are bowed down;
The Lord loves the righteous.
The Lord watches over the strangers;
He relieves the fatherless and widow;
But the way of the wicked
He turns upside down.
The Lord shall reign forever -
Your God, O Zion, to all generations.
Praise the Lord!
Psalm 146:1-10
When you think of the magnitude of creation, and the limitless love that God has for His people, how can we not praise Him? Praise the Lord!
********************--TODAY'S BIT OF WISDOM/REFLECTION: "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!" (Psalm 150:6)
-King David

--FEATURED FUNNY:During Sunday school the teacher taught a lesson about heaven. She then asked the children, "Where do you all want to go?"
The children all shouted out, "Heaven!"
Then she asked, "What must you be to get there?"
One loud voice yelled, "Dead!"
********************--ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION: Q. What was the name of the woman who hid the two spies and what was her occupation?
A. Rahab, a harlot
So they went, and came to the house of a harlot named Rahab, and lodged there... Then the woman took the two men and hid them.
Joshua 2:1 & 4
Rahab also lied to keep the king's soldier's from finding the two Israelite spies and was rewarded by God for doing so; Caleb married her and she is in the lineage of Jesus.
