Here's the Scoop....

Starz's epic drama Spartacus: Blood and Sand halted production
after star Andy Whitfield was diagnosed with cancer.

Andy, who plays Spartacus in the freshman series, was
diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and is scheduled
to begin treatment immediately.

"I'm receiving excellent care and am feeling strong, positive
and determined with an army of support behind me," said
Andy, whose cancer was detected in its early stages.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Andy," president and CEO
of Starz Chris Albrecht said. "His health, of course, is our
primary concern. He has our complete support during this
difficult time."

The second season of Spartacus was scheduled to begin shooting
in April in New Zealand.

Haim's Final Moments: Dizzy, Flu Like Symptoms...

Corey Haim had been suffering from flu-like symptoms for several
days before finally stumbling in front of his mother at her Los
Angeles apartment early Wednesday morning.

"Some time after midnight, he got up, he was dizzy and unsteady
on his feet and knelt down," L.A. County Coroner Assistant Chief
Ed Winter says. "His mom helped him to a bed and he became
unresponsive in about a minute or so. She dialed 911 and he was
pronounced dead at a local hospital at 2:15 a.m."

The death of the former '80s heartthrob at age 38 has been ruled
inconclusive pending an autopsy and toxicology test. But Winter
says, "LAPD believes it was a possible drug overdose."

Corey had been living with her mother as she battled cancer, Judy
Haim says. ?I am a cancer victim and Corey was helping me at
home,? she said. ?He was a good boy. I?m devastated by his death.=
?

Winter confirms that four prescription medication bottles were
found in the home in Corey's name. Winter wouldn't verify what
drugs they were, though he says no illegal drugs were found.

Corey's mother told investigators that her son "had problems with
prescription meds and that he had been in rehab on and off over
the years," Winter says.

Cindy Crawford extortionist found guilty...

A German man has been sentenced to two years in prison after he
was found guilty of attempting to blackmail Cindy Crawford.

Edis Kayalar was charged with attempting to extort $100,000 from
Cindy and her husband Randy Gerber after threatening to sell a
controversial photo of the couple's young daughter to the media.
The image showed the girl, who was seven years old at the time,
tied to a chair and wearing revealing clothing during a game of
'cops and robbers.'

Randy is believed to have paid Edis, an acquaintance of the
family's former nanny, $1,000 to keep the photo under wraps
but turned to FBI officials when the 26 year old made further
demands for cash.

Edis left the U.S. in September 2009 but surrendered himself to
police in Germany in November after U.S. authorities appealed
for international help in tracking him down.

He was convicted of attempted blackmail at a court in the town
of Kirchheim unter Teck, in southern Germany, and handed a two-
year prison sentence, according to reports.

Judge Joachim Spieth told the court, "The attempt at blackmail
was well-advanced until it failed."

An Emotional Return To The Stage For Marie Osmond...

It was a packed house Tuesday night at the Flamingo as Marie and
Donny Osmond took the stage for their Las Vegas show, only a day
after Marie laid her son, Michael Bryan, to rest.

The audience watched on as Marie worked through the evening's
material with tears in her eyes and shakiness in her voice. She
explained to the crowd that she was dedicating the show to "her
angel" and she knew he would want her to carry on. She said:

"The way Osmonds survive is we keep singing. That's what we want
to do tonight. I know my son would want that and this show is
for him."

And she did pull through, though clearly emotional through most
of the 90-minute show. At one point, her brother Donny asked that
the audience show their gratitude for Marie making it on stage
and the crowd stood in a roar to give her a standing ovation.

LOOSE LIPS: "I think every day should be a day of romance. Then,
on Valentine's Day, you should get to tell whoever you hate that
you cannot stand them. There would be one day of hating, and 364
days of love."? Valentine's Day star Ashton Kutcher, on how he'd
rework the holiday.

*-*-* GUESS WHO *-*-*-

Fans worldwide swoon over this actor these days, but he admits
he used to be the victim of multiple beat-downs...

It's Robert Pattinson...

"I got beaten up by a lot of people when I was younger," Rob
says.

Rob, promoting the romance Remember Me, says the pummeling
occurred when he was an unknown actor trying to get parts. "I
was a bit of an idiot, but I always thought the assaults were
unprovoked," he says.

"I liked to behave like an actor, or how I thought an actor was
supposed to be, and that apparently provoked a lot of people
into hitting me."

And although he's been romantically linked to many high-profile
women, from Twilight costar Kristen Stewart to Remember Me's
Emilie de Ravin, the modest Pattinson claims he's all thumbs
with the ladies.

"I don't even remember the last time I asked someone out on a
date," he claims. "Like, just went up to them and that's the
first thing I did... I tend to hold back."
