Here's the Scoop....

One of young Hollywood's golden couples is no more: Zac Efron
and Vanessa Hudgens have split up.

"They are 100 percent still good friends," a source says of
the High School Musical sweethearts, who first began dating
in 2006.

The couple have been a Hollywood fixture and have both spoken
about feeling an instant connection when they met. "Right off
the bat, we had a connection, I think everybody could see it,"
Vanessa, who turns 22 on Tuesday, said in the June issue of
Glamour.

Zac, 23, also recently spoke of their relationship, saying
the pair's love was "exactly how it should be. It's real."

Jennifer Grey Has Surgery to Repair Ruptured Disc...

No wonder she almost had to withdraw from Dancing with the
Stars.

Actress Jennifer Grey, who won the ABC dancing competition
last month, underwent surgery last week to repair a ruptured
disc in her back, suffered on the first night of Dancing's
two-night finale.

Dr. Robert S. Bray Jr. removed "a huge fragment" from
Jennifers's back during the operation. The procedure was a
success, and she is recuperating and feeling great.

"I'm still recovering at home. I have to rest a bit more,
but I feel great, completely pain free," she tells says.

Bray, who performed the operation at the D.I.S.C. Sports and
Spine Center in Marina del Rey, Calif., says Jennifer "can
go back to her family, pilates, dancing, just about anything
she wants to do."

On Nov. 21, the first night of Dancing's finale, Jennifer
felt pain in her lower back. By the next morning, "she was
in tears. She absolutely could not move," Bray says. "Pain
was shooting down her leg."

An MRI revealed that she had a ruptured disc "greater than
one centimeter," explains Bray, who treated the pain with
steroids. "She felt better and asked if she could get to
the show. She asked me, 'Is it safe? Am I going go damage
myself?' I said, 'No, if you want to, you can try.' "

Jennifer did more than try. She and her pro partner, Derek
Hough, wowed the judges and the nation, and took home the
season-11 title and the mirror-ball trophy.

More Glee for Gwyneth Paltrow...

If you loved the sound of Gwyneth Paltrow on Glee, you're in
luck because the actress will be back for more singing and
dancing as substitute teacher Holly Holiday.

"I'm going to do one more," the Country Strong star says. "I
signed up for two ... so I'm excited!"

Gwyneth, whose character stepped in when glee club director
Mr. Schuester came down with "monkey flu," says the whole
experience of filming an episode of FOX's hit show was a blast.

"Just the incredible challenge of getting off a plane, going
to record four songs immediately in one afternoon, and then
having to learn all the dance numbers in like 20 minutes,"
she says of what she enjoyed about the stint. "I love Ryan
Murphy. He's an old friend of mine and I was just in awe of
everybody's talent and getting to work with Jane Lynch, and
Matt Morrison is so adorable and all the kids ? it was just
great. It was really fun."

And the feeling is mutual. Gwyneth, who performed the songs
"Forget You," "Nowadays/Hot Honey Rag" and "Umbrella/Singing
in the Rain" on an episode that aired in November, made quite
an impression on Mark Salling and show creator Ryan Murphy,
who said Gwyneth is "just the best."

While Gwyneth's daughter Apple, 6 ½, most definitely agrees
with that assessment, she also took a liking to another Glee
star.

"My kids came out [to the set] and my daughter fell in love
with Heather [Morris] who plays Brittany," Gwyneth says.
"Whenever she sees a Glee thing she's like, 'It's Heather!' "

There's no word on when Gwyneth's second episode will air.

Oprah Winfrey Gives $40 Million to Charity...

Oprah Winfrey is the most charitable celebrity, by a huge
margin, giving away more than $40 million primarily through
the Oprah Winfrey Foundation for causes including education
and programs for women and children, according to a national
philanthropic group.

Novelist Nora Roberts came in second, donating $4.45 million
to the Nora Roberts Foundation to support literacy in
underserved communities, followed by actress Meryl Streep,
who gave $4 million to the Silver Mountain Foundation for
the Arts.

These contributions were made in 2009, the most recent year
financial information was available, according to The Giving
Back Fund, which compiled the celebrity list.

"There are many generous celebrities, but when you can top a
list of celebrity philanthropists three out of four years,
as Oprah has, that is saying something,? said Marc Pollick,
president of The Giving Back Fund, which creates and
professionally manages charitable foundations and other
philanthropic programs for entertainers, athletes, business
entrepreneurs and corporations.

For its data, The Giving Back Fund culls media reports and
tax forms and speaks to publicists, agents and others close
to the celebrity, but it does not count pledges or promises
to donate or donations to public charities, which are not
publicly disclosed.

Elizabeth Hurley, Husband 'Separated a Few Months Ago'...

Elizabeth Hurley's three-year marriage to Indian businessman
and textile heir Arun Nayar is on the rocks amid a tabloid
report she cheated.

The British model, actress and designer, 45, Tweeted the news
Sunday: "Not a great day. For the record, my husband Arun and
I separated a few months ago. Our close family & friends were
aware of this."

Elizabeth's announcement coincided with a report claiming her
alleged affair with cricketer Shane Warne. The tabloid has
pictures and video of the couple kissing, and says that they
spent the night together Wednesday at London's Bentley Hotel.

Elizabeth and Nayar began dating in 2003 and married in March
2007 at Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire, where they exchanged
vows in an Anglican ceremony before 300 guests. Days after the
British ceremony they threw a sumptuous week-long celebration
at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India, capped by a Hindu
wedding ceremony.

Elizabeth has an 8-year-old son, Damian, with her ex Stephen
Bing. She previously dated actor Hugh Grant for 13 years
before the pair called it quits in 2000.

Richie & Madden Wedding Draws Family, Friends & Elephants...

After two children and four years together, Nicole Richie and
Joel Madden invited about 130 close family and friends for
their scheduled wedding Saturday.

But one attendee stood way out: a trained elephant was spotted
being led into the Los Angeles estate of Nicole's father, music
superstar Lionel Richie, where two tents were set up for the
ceremony on a warm evening.

Otherwise, the couple appeared to be sticking to tradition.
Nicole wore a wedding dress by Marchesa, and their rings were
by jeweler Neil Lane, who also crafted her 4-carat engagement
ring.

"They're going all-out with the decor." says another source.
"Nicole wanted a memorable, elegant affair for only their
closest friends and family on their special day."

How the elephant fit in wasn't immediately known.

Guests included the groom's twin brother and Good Charlotte
bandmate Benji Madden, 31, Sam Ronson, as well as Gwen Stefani
and Gavin Rossdale.

Nicole, 29 and Joel, 31, announced their engagement in February,
and Nicole's friends threw her a luxurious bachelorette party
in Mexico in September.

*-*-* GUESS WHO *-*-*-

This actress broke down in tears on the set of upcoming movie
when she was shown playback footage of her performance,
because she found her acting "horrifying..."

It's Reese Witherspoon...

The "Legally Blonde" star admits she struggles to watch herself
onscreen and rarely ever revisits her projects once filming
wraps, but she made a fool of herself in front of director McG
after he called her over in between takes to review certain
scenes.

She comments, "I can't even watch playback of myself on a movie.
McG was showing me some footage of 'This Means War,' and I just
went apoplectic. I couldn't talk, I started to cry.

"I don't watch any movie I'm in. What's enjoyable about that?
It's horrifying! I'll see it in a dark room one time with my
managers, who I've been with for 18 years, and we'll talk about
it for 10 minutes afterwards, and that's it..."

And Reese blames her insecurities for her refusal to watch her
own takes: "I'll just focus on something stupid, like, 'I hate
my laugh. Why did I smile?' Sometimes I look at myself and
think, 'Dude, I have the biggest, goofiest smile on earth.'"
