Here's the Scoop...
Did you know that there is going to be a sequel to the 1996 Sci-Fi blockbuster 'Independence Day'? I had no idea!
Well, the good news is Jeff Goldblum will be back, but the bad news is no Will Smith. Come on, Will. You need a hit!
I still can't believe 'Independence Day' is getting a sequel. So all that means is that Randy Quaid's character died for nothing. I'm sure that this news is making him crazy!
Be Well,
Steve

Oprah Winfrey shuts down Harpo Studios
Oprah Winfrey is closing her Harpo Studios, where she filmed The Oprah Winfrey Show after moving the OWN network operation to West Hollywood.
"[Chicago has] been everything for me. I've spent more hours in this building than I have any other building on Earth. ... We were here when there was nothing but hoes and rats on the street, and now it's one of the hottest neighborhoods [in Chicago]," Winfrey told The Hollywood Reporter. "The time had come to downsize this part of the business and to move forward. It will be sad to say goodbye, but I look ahead with such a knowing that what the future holds is even more than I can see."
OWN stopped taping at the location Tuesday.
Chicago named the street outside Harpo Studios Oprah Winfrey Way in 2011.
Aside from her executive role at OWN, Winfrey will continue to pursue film projects and acting on the network.
Zachary Quinto: Leonard Nimoy was a 'father figure' to me
Zachary Quinto paid tribute Monday to his predecessor, late Star Trek legend Leonard Nimoy, saying that he "never could have anticipated" the close relationship he would build with his fellow Spock.
In an article for Time, Quinto described the unexpected affinity he felt for the man whose shoes he would fill.
"I never imagined was how close we would become, and what a father figure he would be to me," Quinto wrote of the elder Spock, who died Feb. 27 in Los Angeles.
I lost my own father when I was very young, so to have this man come into my life and resonate so many qualities to which I aspire, and be such an example of dignity and grace and fulfillment -- that was the part of it that so far exceeded any expectations I could have had. And that is the part of me that feels the greatest sense of loss at his death.
Quinto expressed similar feelings in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, telling the magazine that his initial conversations with Nimoy revolved around their character, the logical, pointy-eared Vulcan.
Eventually it just became about being dear friends and staying in touch about each other's lives. I became very, very close to his whole family, his wife Susan is very dear to me. It just evolved into something that was bigger than Star Trek, or bigger than the character, and much more meaningful and long lasting. Although it is the character that brought us together, it's the friendship that we cultivated that I think will carry on.
Quinto also said that he was "grateful" to speak at Nimoy's funeral Sunday.
"It meant so much to me that I was able to be a part of saying goodbye to him in that way, because I felt that that's who he was. He would have traveled to the ends of the earth for the people that he loved, and I was so grateful that I had the opportunity to do that," Quinto said.

'Independence Day 2' to star Jeff Goldblum, Liam Hemsworth
Jeff Goldblum, Liam Hemsworth and Jessie Usher are confirmed for Independence Day 2.
Director Roland Emmerich will return to helm the sequel, and announced Usher's casting Tuesday on Facebook. He followed up by revealing Goldblum and Hemsworth are attached to the project on Twitter.
"Excited to Officially announce @LiamHemsworth and #JeffGoldblum as the next two pieces of the #IndependenceDay sequel," he wrote.
Independence Day was released in 1996, with Goldblum, Will Smith and Bill Pullman as stars. The film follows a group of humans who plan and execute a counterattack on aggressive aliens after the extraterrestrials destroy Washington D.C. and Los Angeles.
Smith will not return for the sequel, but Usher will reportedly portray the actor's character's son. Goldblum will reprise David Levinson, the MIT graduate who discovered the aliens' plan for attack in the first movie. Independence Day 2 opens in theaters June 24, 2016.
Goldblum is also known for The Fly and Jurassic Park, and last appeared in Mortdecai with Johnny Depp. Hemsworth recently returned as Gale Hawthorne in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, while Usher currently stars as Cam Calloway on Starz series Survivor's Remorse.
Idris Elba starts work on 'Luther' two-part television event
Production on the two-part Luther television event began this week, with Idris Elba returning to his iconic role of Detective Chief Inspector John Luther, BBC America announced.
