Glen Campbell Back Home As Alzheimer's Disease Progresses...
Country music icon Glen Campbell is back home after 18 months in an Alzheimer's disease care facility.

The singer-songwriter was admitted to the Nashville, Tennessee medical center in early 2014, after Kim, his wife of 33 years, decided it was time to seek professional help for her ailing husband - but now she's his primary care-giver again as he battles the sixth of seven stages of Alzheimer's disease.

She tells the Chattanooga Times Free Press Campbell quietly returned home in late July, and it's sometimes tough to be around the confused country star.

She says, "He can become extremely combative if you try to redirect him to something that he doesn't want to do. I have a black eye right now. I know that's not him, that's not who he is; it's just the Alzheimer's."

But Kim insists their time together is not always challenging, adding, "He calls me Mrs. Campbell" He definitely understands smiles, hugs, kisses. He's physically healthy, cheerful and content most of the time."

Earlier this year, two of Campbell's children, Debby Campbell-Cloyd and Travis Campbell, launched a legal battle against Kim, accusing her of "secluding" their dad "from the rest of the family".

In a petition, filed in March, they urged a judge to appoint conservators and a guardian to protect their father's medical and financial interests.

Debby is the singer's daughter from his first marriage to Diane Kirk, and Travis is his son from his second union, with Billie Jean Nunley.

Eva Mendes on baby Esmeralda and Ryan Gosling...
Eva Mendes opened up about her family's love for daughter Esmeralda in a recent interview.

The 41-year-old American actress discussed the 1-year-old with Glam Belleza Latina for the magazine's fall issue. Mendes and partner Ryan Gosling welcomed Esmeralda in September 2014, and the star said her relatives monopolize the infant when they visit.

"When my mom and sisters visit, they take over the house," she revealed. "They take my baby! They start cleaning everything! They sound like a bunch of hyenas, yelling in Spanish, English, Spanglish."

"They sing all these Cuban nursery songs that I forgot my mom used to sing to me," she added. "They're like a raucous crew ... I really appreciate my family, now more than ever. I'm so happy that my little girl gets to grow up with this."

Mendes and Gosling celebrated Esmeralda's first birthday Sept. 12. Sources told Us Weekly the couple threw a "quiet and casual" party that was "more about family and close friends coming together to celebrate" than a typical celebrity child's bash.

The actress and the 34-year-old actor met on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines in 2011, but have never publicly addressed their relationship. Mendes last appeared in Gosling's directorial debut, Lost River, and the actor is next scheduled for The Nice Guys with Russell Crowe.


Elton John Agreed To Attend Moscow Gay Pride In Phone Hoax ...
Elton John was so taken in by a prankster posing as Russian President Vladimir Putin that he agreed to fly to Moscow to attend a Gay Pride event in the city and pleaded for a face-to-face meeting with the leader.

Elton was targeted by two Russian TV entertainers after he recently revealed he wanted to meet Putin to discuss the country's tough anti-gay laws.

During the phone call, which was broadcast in full on Wednesday night, Sir Elton believed he was speaking to Putin via a translator when he was actually talking to pranksters Vladimir Krasnov and Alexei Stolyarov, better known as Vova and Lexus.

It has now emerged that while talking to the pair, the superstar singer agreed to schedule a trip to Russia to attend a Gay Pride rally in Moscow, saying, "I would like to do that (attend the Moscow gay Pride event). Yes. That would be fantastic... If he (Putin) wants me to come to Gay Pride in Moscow, yes I'll come to Gay Pride in Moscow."

Elton also angled for a face-to-face meeting with the president, explaining, "I'm extremely honoured that he is calling me and that I'm speaking to him. It is a great privilege to be able to speak to one of the most influential people in the world. It's amazing... But I would love to sit down with the president and discuss things face to face, because I think we can solve many issues together... If both our offices can find a convenient date where we can convene and have a really wonderful discussion... That would be a miracle. It would be fantastic, and it would be a dream come true."

When one of the pranksters told the star a meeting would be booked for mid-November, Sir Elton replied, "That would be fantastic. I thank him so much. I'm sure we will have a great meeting and I just want to make the world a better place. That is all."

He concluded the call by saying, "I look forward to meeting the president. And again, please thank him for his time and please tell him, he's made my day, ok?... It is a very wonderful moment in my life. Thank you."

It's Mindy Kaling... The Mindy Project star released her second memoir, Why Not Me? on Tuesday, and among the interesting anecdotes about her personal life in the book is a story about a romance with an unnamed White House staffer.

She calls her former paramour "Will", describing the mysterious man as a tall Tennessee native with blonde hair and glasses. Like Kaling, who graduated from Dartmouth College, he is also an Ivy League graduate, and he "travels everywhere with the president".
