Gigi Hadid 'proud' of Palestinian Heritage...
Gigi Hadid is proud to be half-Palestinian.

The 20-year-old model declared as much on social media after bonding with friends during a henna night Tuesday. Hadid is the elder daughter of Palestinian real estate developer Mohamed Hadid and Dutch-born reality star Yolanda Foster.

"Had the best night with some of my oldest friends last night," she captioned a photo of the group's henna-tattooed hands. "Feel so blessed to have a foundation of friendships that will bond us for the rest of our lives. The way we can all sit around and talk like the clock's been turned back 10 years is the most beautiful and grounding feeling."

"It's so important to be with the families that raised you and the friends that were raised with yours," she added. "So much love in my heart this holiday season !!!!! (& before you go all 'cultural appropriation' in my comments, check out the last name. Hadid. Half Palestinian & proud of it)."

Palestinian culture is one of many to incorporate henna into traditions, including a henna night for brides prior to their wedding. Typical "tattoos" use a dye prepared from the henna plant, and can last for several days.

??? Guess Who ???

This singer is pushing to get own track bumped from No. 1...

J.J. Abrams Regrets Not Directing Eighth 'Star Wars' Film...
J.J. Abrams will not be directing Episode VIII of the Star Wars trilogy, and after reading the script for it, he wishes he was.

The famed director's longtime friend, Greg Grunberg, told The Washington Post Abrams expressed sincere remorse over opting out of directing the next film. Abrams instead will executive produce.

"He read it and said something he never, ever says," Grunberg told the outlet. "He may have said something one time on Lost, with Damon [Lindelof], but I never hear him express regret like that."

As George Lucas did to him, Abrams has passed the torch as Star Wars director to Rian Johnson, who helmed such films as Brick, Looper and The Brothers Bloom. The eighth installment of the wildly popular Star Wars franchise after this year's record-breaking The Force Awakens, will be released in 2017.

Creator George Lucas believed fans were going to "love" Force Awakens ahead of its release last week. "It's very much the kind of movie they've been looking for," he is quoted as saying.

Lucas was right, as the film starring Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, John Boyega and Daisy Ridley broke opening weekend records across the country.

Kurt Russell Confirms 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' Rumors...
Kurt Russell may play Star-Lord's dad in Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

The 64-year-old actor confirmed as much in an interview with Wolfpop podcast Happy Sad Confused after multiple news outlets reported the casting rumor.

"[The Guardians rumor] is one of those things that's really funny," Russell said Monday. "The way the world works today is very different from back in the day when nobody knew about anything. I literally got a phone call two days ago about this."

"I've never seen Guardians of the Galaxy," he admitted. "I didn't realize [James Gunn] had written and directed it. So we talked to each other on the phone and I just had to be honest and say, 'Thank you for considering me, I have to read it and I have to watch the movie, because I can't bring anything for you. I got nothing to offer here.'"

Russell had hinted at the role while discussing gun control with the Wall Street Journal last week. The actor confirmed he spoke to Gunn, but said he is focusing on his forthcoming film, The Hateful Eight, which opens Dec. 25.

Guardians of the Galaxy opened in theaters in August 2014, and earned $773 million at the box office. The movie follows the Marvel character Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, and co-stars Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper.

??? Guess Who ???

The singer who is pushing to get own track bumped from No. 1?

It's Justin Bieber... Justin's is urging fans to help a different song than his own "Love Yourself" attain this week's No. 1 spot in the U.K. charts, for charity.

Bieber and his team, including manager Scooter Braun, are looking to promote more sales of the single "A Bridge Over You" by the National Health Service Choir in order to let it reach the top spot in time for Christmas, he announced Wednesday.

"Hmm," Braun wrote on Twitter, linking Bieber and co-writer Ed Sheeran to a tweet by the Official Charts Twitter page reporting the close race. "Time to do the right thing boys. #giveback."

Bieber quickly followed suit, urging fans to stop buying "Love Yourself," and instead help the choir. "I'm hearing this UK Christmas race is close," the Canadian singer wrote. "But the @Choir_NHS single is for charity. So..."

"So for 1 week it's ok not to be #1. Let's do the right thing & help them win," he wrote in a subsequent message. "It's Christmas."
