Here's the Scoop...

Well, it seems that former Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd is praising the new 'Ghostbusters' movie. How do we feel about this?

Did he really enjoy it or is he just towing the company line?

I guess we can all see for ourselves on July 15.

Be Well,
Steve

Charlize Theron hosts baby shower for Emily Blunt
Charlize Theron hosted a baby shower for pregnant actress Emily Blunt on Sunday.

The 40-year-old South African star invited Blunt's loved ones to celebrate the 33-year-old English actress' second pregnancy. Blunt announced she's expecting with husband John Krasinski in January.

Theron's mom, Gerda Maritz, makeup artist Jenn Streicher, hair stylist Laini Reeves and personal trainer AJ Johnson were among the guests in attendance. Johnson shared a since-deleted photo with Theron, Blunt and Maritz on Instagram.

"An afternoon of love, laughs and friendship celebrating a special piece of my [heart] #EmilyBlunt with hostess with the mostess @charlizeafrica," she wrote.

Blunt was all smiles in a fitted blue and white maxi gown that showcased her baby bump. Sources told Us Weekly the actress was presented with a pale blue cake topped with yellow ducks, although pink was the dominant color of the party.

"Everything at the party was done in shades of light pink," a source revealed. "There were pink balloons and light-pink floral centerpieces. It was very low-key."

Blunt and Krasinski, who married in 2010, are already parents to 2-year-old daughter Hazel. The actress previously told E! News her daughter is "coming around" to the idea of becoming a big sister.

Dan Aykroyd praises new 'Ghostbusters': 'It has more laughs and more scares'
Dan Aykroyd has taken to social media to praise the upcoming Ghostbusters revival starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon.

"As originator of the original: Saw test screening of new movie," the former writer and star of the original Ghostbusters from 1984 wrote on Facebook Sunday announcing he has viewed the remake.

"Apart from brilliant, genuine performances from the cast both female and male, it has more laughs and more scares than the first 2 films plus Bill Murray is in it!" he continued.

"As one of millions of man-fans and Ray Stantz, I'm paying to see that and bringing all my friends!" Aykroyd concluded referencing his character from the series.

Aykroyd is listed as an executive producer of the new Ghostbusters which is due in theaters July 15.

The comments come after the film's first trailer received a negative reaction from fans and became the most disliked movie trailer in YouTube history. A second trailer was uploaded recently featuring the new team of paranormal fighters hunting down a machine that is amplifying ghost activity in New York City. It was received slightly better.

Aykroyd will appear in the new Ghostbusters in a cameo role unrelated to this previous character along with his former costars Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson and Sigourney Weaver.

Who's ready to ROCK in Shane Black's Doc Savage movie?

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson announced via social media Monday that he will portray Clark "Doc" Savage on the big screen.

"It's OFFICIAL," Johnson teased.

"For all comic book fans you already know the world's first superhero (pre-dating Superman) is the 'Man of Bronze' himself Clark 'Doc' Savage," he wrote. "Want to thank my bud director/writer Shane Black and his writing team Anthony Bagarozzi and Chuck Mondry for flying in from LA and sitting with me and our Seven Bucks Productions's producer Hiram Garcia on this Memorial Day weekend to chop up creative and break story on this very cool project."

Johnson went on to explain the character was the inspiration for Superman, adding Savage has a "genius level intellect," heightened senses "beyond comprehension" and is, in short, "the master of everything."

"But here's the #1 reason I'm excited to become Doc Savage.. HE'S A [expletive] HILARIOUS WEIRDO!" Johnson wrote.

"Confidently, yet innocently he has zero social graces whatsoever due to his upbringing so every interaction he has with someone is direct, odd, often uncomfortable and amazingly hilarious," the actor went on. "After speaking for hours w/ Shane Black I can see why the creator of Superman took only the best parts of Doc Savage and leaving the 'weirdo' part behind. But to us, it's that 'weirdo' part that makes Clark 'Doc' Savage dope! Can't wait to sink my teeth into this one of a kind character."
