George Clooney's engagement to Amal Alamuddin confirmed by her law firm

Reports that George Clooney is engaged to Amal Alamuddin are in fact true. Alamuddin's firm confirmed the news in a congratulatory statement shared Monday. "The barristers and staff of Doughty Street Chambers offer their best wishes and congratulations to Ms Amal Alamuddin, a member of Chambers, and Mr George Clooney on their engagement to be married," the firm wrote. Rumors that the 36-year-old was engaged to Hollywood's most eligible bachelor began Thursday night after Alamuddin was seen wearing a sparkly ring while dinning at Nobu in Malibu with Clooney and Cindy Crawford.
Alamuddin is an international lawyer who has represented big names like Julian Assange. News of Clooney's engagement comes almost two months after his latest ex-girlfriend, Stacey Kiebler, tied the knot to tech-entrepreneur Jared Pobre after months of dating.


Paul Simon and wife Edie Brickell arrested following domestic dispute

Paul Simon and wife Edie Brickell were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct over the weekend. The 72-year-old Simon and Garfunkel singer and his 48-year-old wife, also a musician, were reportedly involved in a domestic dispute Saturday. NBC News reports that police were dispatched round 8:20 p.m. to the couple's Connecticut home, where they gathered information and found probable cause to make an arrest. The pair were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, but were not taken into custody. They are scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court Monday. Simon and Brickell married in May 1992, and have three children together, Adrian, Lulu and Gabriel. The marriage is Simon's third.

Orlando Bloom and Selena Gomez spotted together after concert

Orlando Bloom had a suspicious reaction after he was spotted hanging out with Selena Gomez on Sunday. TMZ reports the 37 year-old Lord of the Rings star "quickly bounced" after he was seen with the 21-year-old pop star outside of the Chelsea Handler concert in Los Angeles. Bloom's reaction seemed odd given that he had previously posed for pictures with Gomez in the past.
Bloom has been rumored to be dating The Hobbit costar Liv Tyler since separating from Australian model Miranda Kerr in October 2013. Gomez, on the other hand, has been linked to ex-beau Justin Bieber though it is uncertain if he survived the social media purge she underwent last week as the singer un-followed all accounts on Instagram and several on Twitter.


Tori Spelling reportedly hospitalized amid husband's cheating scandal

Tori Spelling left a Los Angeles medical center on Saturday after what several media reports described as a multi-day hospitalization. Though it's unclear why she needed treatment, E! News reported that Spelling spent at least six days in the hospital with scandal-ridden husband Dean McDermott by her side. Photographers spotted Spelling and McDermott leaving the hospital on Saturday.
"He would arrive by 10am and didn't leave until 8 most nights. He seemed very stressed out and worried," a source told E!. ''He would bring food and often only left Tori to go outside to catch some air or make a phone call.'' The news comes as Spelling's marriage problems unfolded during last Tuesday's episode of her Lifetime reality series, True Tori. Spelling broke into tears as she described what gossipmongers have known for months -- that McDermott had cheated on her with a woman in Toronto. "In one moment everything changed," Spelling said of the moment she realized her husband had been unfaithful. "I can never give him enough sex!" Spelling said through tears on the couple's televised therapy sessions. "He's never gonna be happy with just me." Spelling told Us Weekly that McDermott "broke my heart," but said she wanted to save her marriage.
