Here's the Scoop...

So, by a show of hands, who went to see 'Batman v Superman'? Oh, wait. I can't see you.

Well, if you did see the movie, and since I didn't, I would love to hear some feedback on your movie-going experience, good or bad.

The reviews seemed to be a big thumbs down, but I'm more interested in what the folks that paid to see the movie thought.

Please feel free to email me your thoughts.

Be Well,
Steve

Comedian, actor Garry Shandling dead at 66 after medical emergency
Comedic actor Garry Shandling has died, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed Thursday. He was 66.

No details were immediately revealed about the comedian's death, but authorities reportedly said it followed a medical emergency.

Shandling rose to fame during his situation comedy It's Garry Shandling's Show, which aired on premium cable network Showtime from 1986 to 1990. Two years later, he became a household name with the popularity of The Larry Sanders Show on HBO, which continued until 1998 -- a pseudo docu-comedy that covered the exploits of fictional late night talk show host Larry Sanders, played by Shandling.

The Emmy Award-winning comedian began his career in the mid-1970s writing for sitcoms Sanford and Son and Welcome Back, Kotter. He also guest-hosted The Tonight Show several times when Johnny Carson was on vacation.

Shandling made numerous appearances in film, as well, including Doctor Dolittle, Iron Man 2 and Captain America: The Winter Soldier in 2014.

Exactly how or where Shandling died was not immediately known, but The Hollywood Reporter cited a LAPD representative in confirming his death.

Variety reported that police received a 911 call Thursday citing a medical emergency at his West Los Angeles home. Officials reportedly said Shandling died later at a Los Angeles hospital.

"RIP the great Garry Shandling. Surely, one of the most influential comedians of a generation," fellow comedian Ricky Gervais tweeted.

"Garry Shandling was as kind and generous as he was funny and that is saying a lot," ABC late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel said in a similar tweet Thursday afternoon.

Born in Chicago and raised in Arizona, Shandling, who moved to California during the 1970s to get into the entertainment industry, was nearly killed in a serious car accident in 1977.

"I had a vivid near-death experience that involved a voice asking, 'Do you want to continue leading Garry Shandling's life?'" he later wrote. "Without thinking, I said, 'Yes.' Since then, I've been stuck living in the physical world while knowing, without a doubt, that there's something much more meaningful within it all. That realization is what drives my life and work."

Shemar Moore on 'Criminal Minds' exit: 'I want to fall in love, get married'
Shemar Moore is opening up on his surprising exit from Criminal Minds.

The 45-year-old actor explained his motivations in an interview with E! News after announcing he's leaving the CBS police procedural prior to Wednesday's episode.

"I am wanting to see what else is out there for me and what else I'm capable of in my career and also in my personal life," Moore revealed. "I'm looking for balance. I want to fall in love, get married, have kids, travel. I want to walk my dogs more."

"I treat my acting career like school," he added. "The Young and the Restless was high school. I knew I needed to evolve and graduate. And then Criminal Minds has been college ... So now I'm going to grad school or whatever you want to call it."

"I'd seen other actors out there in the business getting these opportunities that I would love a chance," the star shared. "What I'm fighting for in my life, and more specifically in my career, is that shot. I'm very happy with what I've accomplished, but I want to take another step."

Moore played Derek Morgan for 11 seasons and made his final appearance on the series Wednesday. The actor told fans he's "not going anywhere" in his announcement, and later told E! he may return to Criminal Minds in the future.

"Derek did not die," the actor qualified. "I'm not opposed to those doors opening up again. Now, it may not be permanently, and it may not be for a full season, but if there's an opportunity to go back and dance and play, I wouldn't be opposed to that."

Criminal Minds premiered in 2005 and airs new episodes Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET. The series co-stars Thomas Gibson, Matthew Gray Gubler and A.J. Cook, who reacted to Moore's departure in a CBS video.

Jessica Biel on pregnancy rumors: 'I have a gut apparently'
Jessica Biel is laughing off reports she is pregnant again by Justin Timberlake.

The 34-year-old actress, who shares 11-month-old son Silas with the singer, addressed the rumors on Thursday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

"I don't even know what to say about these things," Biel said. "I was like, 'Man, I thought I was doing good with my yoga practice. I thought I was in the gym,' but no, I have a gut apparently."

"I heard that I called Justin. I was like, 'Are we?' He was like, 'No,'" she joked. "He usually knows more than I do about everything."

Biel and Timberlake married in 2012 and welcomed Silas in April. The actress admitted to often playing Timberlake songs for her son, who has inherited his 35-year-old dad's love for music.

"He is really, really in love with Erykah Badu," she said of Silas. "He's gotten, just recently, these drum sets. He likes to drum, he likes piano and he likes to drum with his head. Which I just think is genius, if you ask me."

Biel recently told Extra the best part of motherhood is when her son's face lights up when she comes in the room. The actress will next star in The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, and opened a restaurant, Au Fudge, in Los Angeles this month.

'The Predator' director says reboot will be a 'spectacle'
Predator fans can expect Shane Black's reboot, The Predator, to be a big-budget blockbuster.

The 54-year-old director, who played Hawkins in the original 1987 movie, discussed his plans for the forthcoming film in an interview with Thrillist.

"[Fox] called me and I was reluctant," Black recalled. "They said, 'What if we said to you we want to reinvent this, and really treat it with as much of an event status, or as much hoopla as we would the Alien prequel, which is also coming out?'"

"[They said,] 'We really want to make this something. The kind of movie that people line up for,'" he related. "I said, 'Really, you'll spend a bunch of money?' They go, 'Yep.' I go, 'Make it really scale, spectacle?' 'Yep.' '[Expletive,] that sounds interesting.'"

Black is known for writing Lethal Weapon and Last Action Hero, and directed Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Iron Man 3. Iron Man 3 earned over $1.2 billion at the box office, and Black envisions a similar scale for the Predator reboot.

"I think the first [Predator] was great, and it was contained, and it was a perfect little gem for what it was," he said. "I think there's an expansion that needs to take place, and also just a love for that era, that movie, and the mythology of Predator."

"I think that they came to me knowing pretty much that... they said, basically, if I wanted to make Predator but treat it like it was Iron Man III instead of just another little movie," he explained. "I said, 'Let's really do it right this time.'"

News of the reboot broke in 2014 and 20th Century Fox released a first teaser image for the movie in February. Producer John Davis previously told Collider the film seeks to reinvent the franchise in "a different, interesting way."

??? Guess Who ???

Which former talk show host shocks with his bald head and beard?

David Letterman was spotted with a decidedly different look this week in St. Barts.

The 68-year-old television personality was all smiles as he showed off his bald head and beard during a jog. The new look shocked fans, with many comparing him to Santa and Noah.

The sighting comes 10 months after Letterman's retirement from CBS late-night talk show the Late Show with David Letterman. The star attended The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research benefit in November, but has not tweeted since July.

Letterman announced his retirement in April 2014 and signed off in May after nearly 22 years on the Late Show. He was succeeded by The Colbert Report host Stephen Colbert, who made his Late Show debut in September.

"I can remember the first day that Stephen Colbert took over," Letterman told the Whitefish Review in December. "I thought I would have some trouble, some emotional trouble, or some feeling of displacement, but I realized, hey, that's not my problem anymore. And I have felt much better."

"I used to say, every day, 'I am so sick and tired of shaving,'" he explained of his beard. "I had to shave every day, every day, for 33 years ... And I just thought, 'The first thing I will do when I am not on TV is stop shaving.' And everybody hates it. My wife hates it. My son hates it."

"I've kind of developed a real creepy look with it that I'm sort of enjoying," he added. "And I can tell that people are off-put by it. And the more people implore me to shave, the stronger my resolve is to not shave. So the day that I'll shave, I'll call you."

Letterman hosted The David Letterman Show and Late Night with David Letterman prior to the Late Show. He also created and executive produced The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
