Christina Applegate confirms she ditched Brad Pitt on date
Christina Applegate confirmed she once ditched Brad Pitt midway through a date Sunday on Watch What Happens Live.

The 43-year-old actress recalled the incident while playing "Plead the Fifth" with host Andy Cohen. Applegate and Pitt attended the 1989 MTV Movie Awards together, but the outing was cut short when the star left the actor for another man.

Applegate attempted to "Plead the Fifth" a second time to avoid the question, but did reveal the person she ditched Pitt for was well known to the public but not an actor. She also said she and the person didn't end up dating, nor did she see Pitt again.

The actress went on to marry Johnathon Schaech from 2001 to 2007, and wed second husband Martyn LeNoble in February 2013. The couple have one daughter, four-year-old Sadie, while Pitt shares six children with second wife Angelina Jolie.

Applegate last appeared in Vacation with Ed Helms, and will next star in Youth in Oregon with Billy Crudup. Pitt, meanwhile, is scheduled for By the Sea with Jolie and adaptations of The Big Short and War Machine.

Kristen Wiig, 'Ghostbusters' co-stars pay surprise visit to hospital
Kristen Wiig and her Ghostbusters co-stars paid a surprise visit to Tufts Medical Center on Saturday.

The 41-year-old actress and castmates Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon were filming in the area when they headed over in costume to visit patients at the Boston hospital. Children being treated at Tufts had put a "Who ya gonna call?" sign up in the window.

"They were a true delight to have today," hospital vice president of public affairs and communications Brooke Hynes told People magazine. "They were so kind to all the kids and their parents. They took their time in each room visiting children as young as a few months to teens."

The actresses posed for several photos, which Tufts Medical Center later shared on Facebook. "Thank you for taking the time out of filming today to put a big smile on our patients faces! #WhoYouGonnaCall #Ghostbusters," the hospital wrote.

Ghostbusters is a female-led reboot of the original 1984 film, and opens in theaters July 22, 2016. The movie is helmed by Paul Feig, who directed Wiig and McCarthy in Bridesmaids, and co-stars Neil Casey, Chris Hemsworth and Andy Garcia.

Ian McShane joins 'Game of Thrones' cast for Season 6
Deadwood alum Ian McShane is returning to HBO, joining Game of Thrones for Season 6.

Entertainment Weekly reported the casting news Saturday, but the magazine said it didn't have any details about the British actor's character or story line.

Show insiders told EW McShane will not spend much time on-screen, but will play an important role.

Production has started on Season 6 and the medieval fantasy drama is expected to return in the spring for a 10-episode run.

Dave Grohl to Italian musicians who made 'super nice' video: 'We'll see each other soon'
Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl says the makers of an epic viral video have convinced him and his bandmates to book a concert in the Italian city of Cesena.

The clip featuring a 1,000 musicians performing "Learn to Fly" in a field has gotten nearly 16 million views since it was posted on YouTube Thursday.

It was intended to persuade the rock group to add the town to its tour schedule.

The stunt apparently worked because Grohl responded with his own video, saying in Italian that Foo Fighters will, indeed, be playing Cesena some time in the near future. No date for the show was mentioned, however.

"Hello Cesena. It's David. Hi. I am sorry I don't speak Italian, just a bit, a bit. This video, was good! Super nice. Thank you so much. We're coming, I swear. We'll see each other soon. Thank you so much. I love you. Ciao," the BBC translated Grohl's message as saying.

It's Bill Nye "The Science Guy"!

The nearly 3-minute clip has gotten about 2.5 million views since Friday. Nye released it to raise awareness about his Kickstarter campaign for an upcoming film project.

The video shows Nye reading numerous, insulting posts -- many of them riddled with expletives and factual, spelling or grammatical errors. Complaints covered his perspectives regarding evolution and global warming, as well as the educational programs that made him famous.

"I hate watching these bill nye videos I rather watch paint dry," he quoted one tweet as the post was shown on the screen.

"It doesn't say, 'I'd,' it just says 'I,'" Nye noted. "Let me ask you something: Does it dry from the top first and the bottom later? Or does it dry from the bottom first and the top later? You could find out. You could observe it for yourself."
