Here's the Scoop....

An intruder was arrested for trespassing at the Beverly Hills
property of Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi.

"The property is protected by a 24-hour security team that
detected and detained the intruder until she was turned over to
the custody of Beverly Hills police officers, who arrested her,"
the rep said in a statement.

"The intruder never entered the actual residence, and did not
make any contact with either Ellen or Portia. Ellen and Portia
appreciate the fast and effective response of BHPD officers."

Lady Gaga accused of copying Madonna track...

Lady Gaga unveiled her long-awaited new single "Born This Way"
on Friday, and immediately faced a barrage of accusations she
has ripped off Madonna's classic hit "Express Yourself."

The "Poker Face" hitmaker has been trumpeting her new track for
weeks, and led a countdown to its release on her Twitter page.

She finally uploaded the song on Friday, but within minutes a
slew of critics and thousands of fans took to the Internet to
accuse her of stealing the beat, melody and subject matter from
Madonna's 1989 global smash hit.

One follower writes, "Lady Gaga's song's good, but my God it
sounds exactly like Madonna's 'Express Yourself,'" while another
adds, "It doesn't just sound like Madonna's 'Express Yourself,'
you can literally sing the original over this one."

And even celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, a huge Gaga fan, noticed
the similarities between the two songs, tweeting: "Express
Yourself 2.0 is what people are saying? I'll happily take that!!"

Goldberg Blasts New York Times for 'Erasing' Her Oscar Win...

When Whoopi Goldberg caught sight of an recent New York Times
article discussing the lack of racial diversity among this year's
Academy Award nominees, she naturally expected to see her own name.

But Whoopi, 55, who won an Oscar for her role in 1990's Ghost,
wasn't mentioned at all in the story, and that smarted.

"I am embarrassed to tell you it hurt me terribly," Whoopi said
on the View Monday. "When you win an Academy Award, that's part
of what you've done, your legacy. I will always be Academy Award-
winner Whoopi Goldberg, and [I] have been dismissed and erased by
the New York Times film critics, who should know better."

Whoopi went on to list her accomplishments before blasting the
critics for "sloppy" work. The article did, however, reference a
slew of modern day African American winners, including Halle
Berry, Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman, all of whom won the
award after 2002.

"Not only am I an Academy Award winner," she said, pausing to
take out her statuette as the audience erupted in cheers and
applause. "I have made over 50 films. I have been nominated twice,
once for The Color Purple, once for Ghost. And I won for Ghost."

Marion Cotillard Joins Hathaway & Bale for Batman 3...

Gotham City is about to get a French accent. Already set to star
Anne Hathaway as Catwoman and Christian Bale returning as the
Caped Crusader, the latest Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises,
is also welcoming a formidable femme fatale: 2008 Oscar winner
Marion Cotillard.

While it still remains to be seen whether the French star, 35,
will play a romantic interest or a rival superhero to Anne's
character of Selina Kyle, also known as Catwoman, the addition
of Marion comes as a surprise.

Sources also say that Marion, who is expecting a baby in April
with her French actor-director beau Guillaume Canet, signed onto
the Batman project Saturday in Paris.

The Batman movie will also reunite Marion with her Inception
director Christopher Nolan and costars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and
Tom Hardy. Others in the cast include Michael Caine, Morgan
Freeman and Gary Oldman.

According to sources, she will start shooting at London's Elstree
Studios in mid-June, then move on to locations in Pittsburgh and
Los Angeles this summer. Filming is expected to wrap in New York
in November, with the picture's release set for July 2012.

? ? ? ? GUESS WHO ? ? ? ?

life as a (pop) princess.

Now she's hoping to provide an actual princess-to-be, Kate
Middleton, with some wares fit for the royal life...

Prince Harry To Be William's Best Man...

It will be all in the family for Prince William and Kate
Middleton, who Monday morning announced their wedding party.

As was widely predicted, Kate, 29, has chosen her sister Pippa
as her maid of honor. Whose job, it is stated, will be to make
sure the bridal gown is displayed properly and the young wedding
party is kept in line, while Prince Harry will be his brother's
best man, the palace announced.

For royal watchers, the real treat may be in observing the young
friends and royal relatives who will make up Kate's bridal party.
Among them are Lady Louise Windsor, 7, the daughter of William's
Uncle Edward and his wife, Sophie Wessex. Hon. Margarita
Armstrong-Jones, 8, is also from the wider Windsor clan. She is
the daughter of Queen Elizabeth's nephew Viscount Linley and his
wife, Serena.

A close friend of the couple, Hugh van Cutsem, is the father of
another bridesmaid, Grace, 3. She, like one of the pageboys
announced by the palace, Tom Pettifer, 8, is a godchild of
William's. Pettifer is the son of William's nanny, Tiggy Pettier
(nee Legge-Bourke), and her husband, Charles.

There's also a spot for Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall's
granddaughter, Eliza Lopes, 3, whose mother is Camilla's daughter,
Laura. The other pageboy is William Lowther-Pinkerton, 10, son of
Jamie Lowther-Pinker, who as the princes' private secretary is
the one heading up the wedding planning, and all the crucial
work for the couple and William's brother Harry.

The palace ends its announcement by saying that the couple will
withhold news of the what the bridesmaids dresses and the
uniforms of the pageboys until April 29, which happens to be
the wedding day.

Lohan responds to stealing accusations and court fashion show...

Lindsay Lohan has protested her innocence after she was charged
with felony theft on Wednesday in a new Facebook posting.

Lindsay has pleaded not guilty to accusations she stole a necklace
from a Venice, California jeweler, maintaining she understood the
item was on loan to her.

Her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley insists the case against her is
"entirely defensible," but she's interested in taking a plea deal
with prosecutors if it means no jail for Lindsay.

She insists that doesn't mean she has been lying about the jeweler
drama.

Taking to her Facebook page, she writes, "fyi - I would never
steal, in case people are wondering. I was not raised to lie,
cheat, or steal."

Lindsay also hit back at reports she was dressed inappropriately
for her day in court on Wednesday.

She wore a figure-hugging white mini-dress, which critics suggest
resembles the one Sharon Stone wore in "Basic Instinct."

Lindsay adds, "Also, what i wear to court shouldnt be front page
news. it's just absurd. god bless."
