Matthew 6:12

And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.

Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

As you may remember, we spent Thursday looking at what the
Bible had to say about hatred, and how hurtful it is if you
hold hatred for others in your soul. Today we will be
looking at forgiveness. If you refuse to forgive someone
who has wronged you, (or a loved one), that unforgiveness
can easily turn into hatred!

God Bless You!

--TODAY'S DAILY NOT SO TRIVIAL TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. We spent the last two weeks looking at Jonah. If you
are doing your homework, you will know much of the story
before I am through with you! We learned that the word of
the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, "Arise,
go to Nineveh." But Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish, going
west to Joppa, in order to take a ship going to Tarshish.
But the LORD sent out a great wind on the sea, and there
was a mighty tempest on the sea, so that the ship was about
to be broken up. We also learned that the sailors threw all
of their cargo overboard, then drew lots to find out who is
the cause of the storm--the lot fell on Jonah, who suggested
that they throw him overboard. Jonah, incidentally, had been
sleeping as the storm initially raged. Why were the sailors
reluctant to throw Jonah overboard?

Answer below.

Each night, before retiring, forgive whomever offended you.

--FEATURED FUNNY:

A mother want to wake up her son for church one Sunday
morning.

"I'm not going," the son firmly stated.

"OH yes you are!" retorted the Mom.

"Give me one good reason why I should. Nobody likes me
there."

"I'll give you three good reasons. It's good for you,
everyone is expecting you to come, and you're the pastor
of the church."

--ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. Why were the sailors reluctant to throw Jonah overboard?

A. They did not want to perish because of killing Jonah,
or be charged with killing innocent blood.

Therefore they cried out to the LORD and said, "We pray, O
LORD, please do not let us perish for this man's life, and
do not charge us with innocent blood; for You, O LORD, have
done as it pleased You.
