"Zombieland". I saw it twice in theatres and loved it only
more the second time. This is not your stereotypical zombie
film but a whole new genre mixing horror, action, romance
and comedy. The cast was a brilliant ensemble including the

'Amelia' DVD

Hilary Swank stars as the title character in this biopic
about the great aviatrix Amelia Earhart. Swank is supported
by Richard Gere and Ewan McGregor, and the film was directed
by Mira Nair (Monsoon Wedding, The Namesake). The movie
covers the final decade of Earhart's life, including her
being the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic in
1932, as well as her disappearance in the Pacific in 1937
while trying to fly around the world. Also depicted are her
fundraising, her marriage to a publisher (Gere), and her
extramarital affair with a character played by McGregor.

'Love Happens' DVD

Jennifer Aniston plays the female lead in this romantic
dramedy set in Seattle, but the main character is portrayed
by Aaron Eckhart. He plays Burke Ryan, a man whose wife was
killed in an auto accident three years ago. This prompted
him to write a self-help book and put on seminars for others
dealing with grief, though he doesn't actually practice what
he preaches. Ryan meets the florist Eloise (Aniston), and he
begins to change. A subplot involves Walter (John Carroll
Lynch), an attendee at one of Ryan's seminars who is trying
to work through the loss of his son.

'Zombieland' DVD

Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg star in this horror
comedy, and they are supported by Emma Stone and Abigail
Breslin. The situation is that hordes of flesh-eating zombies
have taken over the world and only a few humans are left. The
humans are known by their city of origin. Thus we have the
grizzled Tallahassee (Harrelson) who in roaming around en-
counters Columbus (Eisenberg). This pair meets sisters
Wichita (Stone) and Little Rock (Breslin), and the foursome
heads for a possibly mythical amusement park in California.
Bill Murray has a cameo.
