Charlie Hunnam drops out of 'Fifty Shades of Grey'
"Sons of Anarchy" actor Charlie Hunnam has dropped out of the film production of "Fifty Shades of Grey" citing scheduling problems, Universal Pictures said. Hunnam was set to star as Christian in the film, based on the erotic best- seller of the same name, alongside Dakota Johnson as Anastasia. "The filmmakers of 'Fifty Shades of Grey' and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam's immersive TV schedule, which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey," Universal Pictures said in a statement. Production on the film was scheduled to begin in the first of November in Vancouver, shortly after the end of production on the current season of "Son's of Anarchy" on Oct. 21, The Hollywood Reporter said Saturday. Sources told the entertainment industry publication that Hunnam got cold feet about being involved in such a high-profile project. They said he didn't have reservations about playing the role, but was concerned about the media and fan frenzy. "Fifty Shades of Grey" has a release date of Aug. 1, leaving producers Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti scrambling to find a replacement for Hunnam.
David Duchovny regrets red Speedo in 'X-Files' pilot
David Duchovny said he regrets wearing a red Speedo in the pilot episode of "The X-Files" during an appearance in New York with former co-star Gillian Anderson. The two actors appeared Saturday night at the Paley Center for Media in New York to discuss the show, which celebrated the 20th anniversary of its debut last month, The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday. Anderson said she was told she won the role of FBI Special Agent Dana Scully on a Thursday and by Saturday she and Duchovny were in Vancouver filming the pilot. Duchovny said the show's creator, Chris Carter, wanted him to wear swimming trunks in the episode. "I said nobody swims in boardshorts," so he wore his own Speedo. "I have regretted it ever since." Anderson said she and Duchovny were often in bad moods when they had promotional photo shoots for the series because of the intense filming schedule required to produce two dozen episodes per season.
The shoots were held on weekends and "it was all day and that's your one moment off," Duchovny added. "We were doing interviews every week," Anderson added, saying they didn't realize the popularity of the series until the third season.
Pharrell Williams marries longtime girlfriend Helen Lasichanh
Singer-songwriter-producer Pharrell Williams and his longtime girlfriend Helen Lasichanh got married in Miami this weekend, Us Weekly reports. The entertainment industry publication said the 40-year-old, Grammy-winning Williams and his model girlfriend tied the knot Saturday at the Kampong National Tropical Botanical Gardens in Miami. He wore a red plaid suit and she was decked out in a navy blue plaid gown. "Usher and Busta Rhymes did a mini concert at the wedding," a source told Us. "It was so fun. The little concert was amazing. It [was] the most fun wedding I've ever been to." Williams and Lasichanh, who have been together for five years, have a 4-year-old-son Rocket.

Actress Rose McGowan married artist Davey Detail in Los Angeles in front of 60 guests, officials said. McGowan's representative confirmed to People that the pair, who got engaged in July, tied the knot on Saturday. The wedding was "romantic and ethereal," a source told People.
Autopsy rules 'MasterChef' finalist Josh Marks committed suicide
The autopsy of "MasterChef" finalist Josh Marks confirmed the reality star died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head in a Chicago alleyway. Police said they found the body of the 26-year-old lying in a alleyway Friday in the city's Longwood Manor neighborhood, lying face up with a revolver nearby, the Chicago Tribune reported Saturday. Marks, 26, was a finalist on Season 3 of the Fox reality television show. The report of Marks' death came just three months after he had a confrontation with Chicago police in which he allegedly claimed he was possessed by "MasterChef" judge Gordon Ramsay and had been transformed into God. He was arrested at the time and was hospitalized for treatment. Relatives of Marks, who were on the scene of the incident Friday, told police he suffered from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, the Tribune said.
