Here's the Scoop...

According to today's top story there's apparently going to be a Fast & Furious 9 & 10. Seriously? I guess with gas prices as low as they are, why not?

I'm too slow and laid-back for those movies.

Be Well,

Vin Diesel confirms 'Fast & Furious' 9 & 10 release dates
Vin Diesel and Universal Pictures have confirmed the release dates for Fast & Furious 9 & 10 plotting out the road ahead for the next trilogy in the series.

Diesel revealed the dates on social media Tuesday which has the as-yet-untitled Fast 9 and Fast 10 now expected to drop in 2019 and 2021 respectively.

In January, the action star similarly shared the release date for Fast 8 alongside the film's first poster depicting a New York City skyline. Fast 8 is scheduled to hit the road on Apr. 14, 2017.

"2 Decades, 10 Films, 1 Saga," Diesel posted on Instagram showcasing Fast 9's official release date of Apr. 19, 2019 and Fast 10's of Apr. 2, 2021.

The news comes after Diesel confirmed back in September that he planned on producing one final Fast & Furious trilogy to close out the popular action-packed franchise. "Universal has been so good to me and so trusting of the vision... they have been like family," he said at the time. "I promised the studio I would deliver one last trilogy to end the saga."

Plot details are scarce for Fast 8 with Variety reporting that Universal was recently exploring the idea of shooting the film in Cuba. The actioner is set to be directed by Straight Outta Compton helmer F. Gary Gray.

The last entry in the series, Furious 7 which was dedicated to the franchise's late star Paul Walker, was a box-office smash taking in over $1.5 billion worldwide.

LOOSE LIPS:
"Our journey has been from working together, to not, and trying to redefine the dynamic as a family first. Now we're closer than we've ever been, so it's a good thing. We're able to just be brothers."
--Nick Jonas, on his relationship with his brother Joe post-Jonas Brothers, to PEOPLE

Chris Pratt starts work on 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2'
Chris Pratt is gearing up for Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

The 36-year-old actor started work on the highly-anticipated sequel with director James Gunn and co-stars Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista and Sean Gunn this week.

James Gunn shared a photo of the group Monday on Instagram, writing, "Using Bautista as an example of good acting during rehearsals for #GotGVol2." Saldana added, "#weareback #GOTG #guardiansofthegalaxy" to her own post.

Saldana, who plays green-skinned Gamora in the movies, also joked, "It's officially 'face and body art day' for the next 5 months." The actress previously revealed her full-body makeup takes an hour and 15 minutes to remove each day.

Guardians of the Galaxy opened in 2014 and earned $774 million at the box office. Pratt will reprise Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, in the sequel, with Bautista as Drax and Sean Gunn as Kraglin. Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper will also return as Groot and Rocket.

"I will say that [James Gunn's] pitch and his idea legitimately put tears in my eyes," Pratt told Digital Spy in June. "It is so good. I cannot wait to get started on it and I cannot wait for people to see what he's going to pull off with the second movie."

"It's so, so big and so good," he added. "From what I understand, they heard it at Marvel and they said nothing. They're like, 'Perfect.' There was no micromanaging of the idea, they just loved it so much and didn't even have a note for it. It's going to be remarkable."

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opens in theaters May 5, 2017. Kurt Russell is expected to join the series as Star-Lord's dad, with Pom Klementieff in an unspecified role.

Which former cast member said that no one invited her back to 'Gilmore Girls' revival?

Melissa McCarthy, who played character Sookie in the original Gilmore Girls series, says she wasn't invited back to the Netflix revival of the show.

In response to comments from show creator Amy Sherman-Palladino saying planning around the actress' busy schedule would leave her "sobbing in a corner for six months," McCarthy tweeted she was never asked about her schedule in the first place.

"Thanks for the invite," she tweeted to a fan who begged for her return to the show, "but sadly no one asked me or Sookie to come back to Stars Hollow. Wish them all the best!!"

The Gilmore Girls Netflix revival will take place in present-day Stars Hollow for four 90-minute episodes.

During her interview, creator Sherman-Palladino said before McCarthy's comments she would "put her right in," if the actress "said she's free on these particular days or would love to drop by and just be in one scene."
