Here's the Scoop....
Mark McGwire finally came clean, admitting he used steroids
when he broke baseball's home run record in 1998.
Mark said in a statement sent to The Associated Press on
Monday he used steroids on and off for nearly a decade.
During a 20-minute telephone interview shortly afterward,
his voice repeatedly cracked.
"It's very emotional, it's telling family members, friends
and coaches, you know, it's former teammates to try to get
hold of, you know, that I'm coming clean and being honest,"
he said. "It's the first time they've ever heard me, you
know, talk about this. I hid it from everybody."
Mark repeatedly expressed regret for his decision to use
steroids, which he said was "foolish" and caused by his
desire to overcome injuries, get back on the field and
prove he was worth his multi-million dollar salary.

Jay Leno's Primetime Show Canceled...
The primetime Jay Leno Show has been canceled, NBC execs
confirmed at a Television Critics Association panel
Sunday morning.
"Starting Feb. 12, The Jay Leno Show will no longer air
at 10 p.m.," network chairman Jeff Gaspin said. "While it
was performing at acceptable levels for the network, it
did not meet our affiliates' needs, and we realized we
had to make a change. My goal right now is to keep Jay,
Conan [O'Brien] and Jimmy [Fallon] as part of our late-
night lineup."
Jay's primetime show has struggled in the ratings since
its September debut.

Singer Michael Buble Is Engaged...
Michael, is set to wed Argentinian actress Luisana Loreley
Lopilato de la Torre, it was announced on his Twitter
page Monday.
"Happy Monday Everyone!!...Congratulations to Michael Bublé
and Luisana Lopilato on their engagement," read the message.
His rep, Liz Rosenberg, is also quoted on his website as
saying: "Michael proposed to his girlfriend, Luisana, in
November, in front of her family in Argentina. They're
ecstatic. They're adorable, in love and laugh all day long."
Michael previously dated The Devil Wears Prada actress Emily
Blunt. They split in 2008; she is now engaged to The Office's
John Krasinski.
Luisana stars in the hit Argentinian soap opera, Atraccion x 4.

Derek Jeter to be married in November...
Admirers of Yankees most eligible bachelor Derek Jeter could
be cheering a World Series victory in November, then
mourning his marriage a few days later.
The New York Post reports Sunday that Derek and girlfriend
Minka Kelly will be married Nov. 5 on Long Island. Acting on
a tip, a reporter posing as a bride-to-be spotted an entry
reading "JETER wedding" on the calendar for the Oheka Castle
in Huntington, N.Y. Sales manager Rick Bellando insisted that
a celebrity wouldn't be listed under his real name when the
reporter pointed it out.
The Oheka Castle is the second-largest private residence in
the United States and recently hosted the wedding of one of
the Jonas Brothers.

Backstreet Boy Gets Engaged...
Backstreet Boy AJ McLean is making it official.
AJ proposed to his girlfriend Rochelle Deanna Karidis while
performing solo in Las Vegas on Friday night.
"AJ dropped down to one knee and said that they had been
dating for a long time and [he] wanted to know if she
would marry him," a source says. "Of course she said 'yes,'
and they left the club shortly after this happened."
Another witness says AJ bought a "beautiful ring" on the
fly at Rocks the Jeweler inside the Hard Rock Hotel before
running "back to Wasted Space [to propose on-stage at] the
strike of midnight, and the change of the date to Jan. 9th,
his birthday!"
The club was hosting a party for Web site "Naughty America"
to coincide with the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo convention.

Josh Duhamel and Fergie Want to Renew Vows Every Year...
After a tumultuous first year of marriage, Josh Duhamel and
Fergie renewed their wedding vows last week in a small,
private ceremony in California, and they plan to make a
habit of it.
"We want to do it every year," Josh says. "We got the idea
from Heidi Klum and Seal. They do that. ? I thought it was
a great idea."
Josh and Fergie, were married at the Church Estates Vineyards
in Malibu last Jan. 10.
They renewed their vows with a minister on a bluff outside
the Bacara Resort in Santa Barbara. Fergie was "crying and
seemed very emotional," according to an eyewitness.

Mel Gibson, who endured one of the bigger Hollywood scandals
of recent years, says the Tiger Woods affair has been blown
way out of proportion, but that it wouldn't do the golfer
any good to whine about that now.
"I feel sorry for Tiger Woods," Mel says. "Why are we talking
about this when we're sending 30,000 more troops to
Afghanistan? ? He's being used as a diversion, and it just
drives me crazy."

It's Sylvester Stallone...
Sylvester, who performed his own stunt work on the set of the
movie, was left reeling in pain after one fight with wrestling
star Stone Cold Steve Austin turned so "vicious" he had to
undergo corrective surgery, and now has a plate in his neck.
Sylvester says, "It was seven guys, kicking each other's a**,
one guy tougher than the next. No joke, our stunt guys were
begging for mercy.
"My fight with Stone Cold Steve Austin was so vicious that I
ended up getting a hairline fracture in my neck. I'm not
joking. I haven't told anyone this, but I had to have a very
serious operation afterwards.
"I now have a metal plate in my neck."
