John Mayer dedicates song to Katy Perry
Singer John Mayer dedicated his love song "A Face to Call Home" to his pop-star girlfriend Katy Perry at a weekend concert in Milwaukee, Wis. Rolling Stone magazine said Perry was in the audience for the opening night of Mayer's "Born and Raised World Tour" during which he said he was singing the ballad for "Katy, who is my face to call home." Mayer also publicly thanked Perry for helping him deal with vocal chord problems that left him unable to sing for about 20 months. "She was so patient," he told the audience. Mayer said despite his health issues Perry took the time "to continue to get to know me and love me." The couple began dating last August but have broken up several times, most recently in March, People.com said. They recently reconciled.
'Vampire Diaries' actor Roerig seeks sole custody of daughter
Actor Zach Roerig is seeking sole custody of his 2-year-old daughter while her mother is in prison, court documents filed in Georgia show. Roerig, 28, said his ex-girlfriend Alanna Turner has been arrested at least three times and is incarcerated now after pleading guilty in federal court to "various crimes," TMZ quoted the legal papers as saying. The actor also has requested that Turner pay child support, the celebrity news website reported. Roerig plays Matt Donovan on the drama series "The Vampire Diaries."

Cuthbert, Dion Phaneuf wed in Prince Edward Island, Canada
Actress Elisha Cuthbert and Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Dion Phaneuf married in Prince Edward Island, Canada, the journal Pioneer of Summerside reported. A small crowd of fans gathered along the highway near St. James Catholic Church in Summerfield where the two tied the knot Saturday, the newspaper reported. Just before she walked into the church, Cuthbert turned and waved to the crowd as they cheered. Phaneuf has family ties in Prince Edward Island and owns a summer home in New London. The two have spent their summers there since they started dating, the Journal Pioneer reported.
Mathew Knowles marries; Beyonce, Solange no-shows at wedding
Neither Beyonce nor Solange Knowles was in attendance at their father's wedding to former model Gena Avery in Houston, TMZ reported. Mathew Knowles married Avery, who is currently a realtor, on June 30 after being engaged for a year and a half, Us Weekly reported. However, pop stars Beyonce, 31, and Solange, 27, were unable to attend the wedding, TMZ said. "Unfortunately, Beyonce and Solange had previous engagements which made it impossible for them to attend," Mathew Knowles told TMZ. Mathew and Tina Knowles, Beyonce and Solange's mother, divorced in 2011 after 31 years of marriage.

Dane Cook announces new stand-up comedy tour
Dane Cook says he plans to kick off "Under Oath," his latest U.S. stand-up comedy tour, Sept. 12 in Washington. This will be his first stage tour since 2009. "As a comedian, I am obligated to tell you the truth, my truth," Cook told EW.com, while promoting his upcoming string of shows. "To share with you my beliefs, my perspective. And I think that we forget sometimes that that's the oath that comics take, that we will go up and share everything -- the irreverent, the scary." "Under Oath" is to wrap up Oct 19 in Boston. Tickets for all the shows are to go on sale Friday.
