Here's the Scoop...

I am deeply saddened to report that 'Everybody Loves Raymond' star Doris Roberts has passed away at the age of 90.

The Missouri native was a five-time Emmy winner. She earned her first statuette in 1983 for a guest appearance on the drama St. Elsewhere and picked up four more trophies for her portrayal of pushy, but loving Marie Barone on the sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, which ran 1996 through 2005.

Her other TV credits include Angie, Soap, Barney Miller, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, The Middle and Hot in Cleveland.

She also appeared in the films Something Wild, Barefoot in the Park, Divorce American Style, No Way to Treat a Lady, A Lovely Way to Die, The Honeymoon Killers, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, All Over the Guy, Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star, Grandma's Boy, Keeping Up With the Steins, Play the Game, Aliens in the Attic and Tyler Perry's Madea's Witness Protection.

I have been a huge fan of Roberts for years. I remember her the most from 'Everybody Loves Raymond' and 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation'. But the first thing I ever saw her in was 'Remington Steele' where she played Mildred Krebs. She was great on the show and from then on I was always delighted whenever she popped up in a movie or on a television program.

Doris Roberts was a tremendous talent that will be greatly missed.

Be Well,
Steve

Aisha Tyler headed for divorce after 20 years of marriage
Actress and television personality Aisha Tyler and husband Jeff Tietjens are headed for divorce.

TMZ reported Tietjens filed to end his marriage to the 45-year-old The Talk host this month, citing irreconcilable differences. The longtime couple have been legally separated since January 2015.

Tyler's rep, Lisa Morbete, told the website the pair intend to remain friends despite their split. Tietjens isn't requesting spousal support at the moment, but indicated his right to do so in the divorce documents.

Tyler and Tietjens are college sweethearts who married in 1994. The television personality openly discussed their fertility struggles on The Talk in 2013, revealing doctors gave her a less than five percent chance of conceiving.

"After going through a lot of [IVF] procedures ... the doctor said, 'Look, based on what we're seeing here, I just don't think this is going to happen for you,'" the actress recalled.

"The hardest part I think is I really love my husband," she said while tearing up. "He's a really good person and he would be such a good father ... We just decided it wasn't worth it to go through that."

In addition to The Talk, Tyler hosts Whose Line is it Anyway? on The CW. She also voices Lana Kane on FX animated series Archer and plays Dr. Tara Lewis on CBS police procedural Criminal Minds.

LOOSE LIPS:
"It was hard at first because I was so used to bodies next to me, voices next to me, traveling with my girls next to me. But I think in the long run it made me strong because you have to work 10 times harder."
--Kelly Rowland, on making the transition from Destiny's Child member to solo artist, to W magazine

Amber Heard, Johnny Depp: Charges dropped in Australian dog smuggling case
Amber Heard has escaped conviction for illegally smuggling her two Yorkshire Terriers into Australia.

Heard arrived in Australian court Monday accompanied by her husband Johnny Depp and pleaded guilty to making a false statement on her immigration card about the couple's Yorkshire terriers Pistol and Boo, according to the BBC.

An Australian judge then gave Heard a one-month good behavior bond that if broken will require the actress to pay a $770 fine. No conviction was placed on Heard.

Australian authorities also posted on Youtube an apology video from the Hollywood stars who are seen discussing the importance of the country's biosecurity laws. "I am truly sorry that Pistol and Boo were not declared," Heard is seen saying in the clip. "Protecting Australia is important."

The incident occurred in July of 2015 when Heard visited Depp in Australia as he was filming the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie. The actress originally faced a maximum of 10 years jail time and/or a fine of $75,000. The story gained headlines after Australia's Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce called out Depp and his wife and threatened to have the dogs euthanized if they were not sent back to the U.S.

"I have a feeling we're going to avoid the land Down Under from now on, just as much as we can, thanks to certain politicians there," Heard said at the time. "I don't know, I guess everyone tries to go for their 15 minutes, including some government officials."

Heard recently confirmed that she will be appearing in Warner Bros. upcoming superhero team-up film, Justice League: Part One as eventual queen of Atlantis and Aquaman's love interest, Mera.

Which former 'The Good Wife' actor may return for the finale?

The Good Wife fans may indeed be seeing Josh Charles on the Season 7 finale.

Series creator Robert King teased the 44-year-old actor's return at the Tribeca Film Festival on Sunday following reports Charles will reprise Will Gardner on the May 8 episode.

"We don't want to squash those rumors, because why would we?" King told Variety. "But there are a lot of possibilities for the last episodes."

Charles' character died unexpectedly in Season 5, and fans speculate Will will return as a ghost or in a flashback sequence. The actor initially attempted to leave in Season 4 before being convinced to stay on into Season 5.

"I always knew someone would die during the telling of the story," King told the audience. "But when they told me Josh Charles didn't want to renew his contract, I said, '[Expletive] him. He's the one.'"

The Good Wife will come to a final close with the Season 7 finale. King admitted he's ready to finish the series, explaining Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) couldn't continue to experience "crazy" events without escaping "the realm of probability."

"I do think there is benefit in knowing that this is the end and fans are going to get the closure," Matt Czuchry, who plays Cary Agos, added. "You don't always get that with television shows."

King and his wife, co-creator Michelle King, downplayed rumors of a spinoff, saying there's "a possibility" but it's "a little bit early to be talking about it." The Good Wife airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
