Prevent your eye shadow, blush or powder from crumbling in transit by placing a cotton pad on top of the powder before you close the lid. That little bit of cushioning will shield the powder from hard knocks, ensuring it arrives at the destination in one piece.

Hint 2: Even with the best makeup remover on the market, it can take quite a bit of rubbing to fully remove that stubborn mascara.

Here's a trick to try next time: saturate a cotton pad with makeup remover, then gently press and hold it over your eye
for a full 10 seconds. This gives the remover time to break
down the mascara, so you won't have to rub and tug to wipe
away the product.
