Hello Everyone...

Finally - after years of seeing Scott Ian on VH1 doing various interviews and being a gernerally well-spoken commentator on everything from music to pop culture, I sought out his band, Anthrax (on YouTube). I don't know why I put it off, perhaps I was distracted with way too many other good bands floating around. Anthrax is an 80s/90s band engaged in early forms of alternative metal/thrash/punk and a few other sub genres as well.

While today's video isn't the best representative of what the band is in a single song - it is a treat. In 1991, they teamed up with Public Enemy for the song Bring The Noise. That's right - Chuck D, Flavor Flav, and the rest of the bunch are rapping over some heavy metal music. You'll even notice Ice-T from his time in Body Count hanging out on stage. Double Bass drumming, and steady power riffs chug this song along. It may not be for everyone, but if you wanna see Flavor Flav in his prime and one of the only metal/rap mashups I'm aware of.
