Matthew 5:11-12

Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say
all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice
and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven,
for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

It hurts when others reject you or persecute you for your
faith. Do not be surprised when it happens, however, (and
if it has not happened to you yet, it most likely will)!

In John 15:18-20, Jesus said, "If the world hates you,
you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you
were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet
because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of
the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the
word that I said to you,'A servant is not greater than
his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also
persecute you."

Let it be a comfort to you to know that Jesus, too, was
persecuted.

Next time you are being persecuted for your faith, remind
yourself that you are blessed!

God Bless You!

--TODAY'S BIT OF WISDOM/REFLECTION:

A follower of Jesus Christ who seeks to lead like Jesus must
be willing to be treated like Jesus. Some will follow;
others will throw stones.

--FEATURED FUNNY:

Two neighboring churches hadn't gotten along for years.
Finally, they decided to forget past grievances.

"For, after all," said the first man of God, "we are both
doing the Lord's work."

"That is true," said the second man of God. "Let us do His
work to the best of our ability: you in your way, and (with
a twinkle in his eye), I in His!"

--ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. In The Song of Solomon, we are told that love is as
strong as death. What is jealousy as cruel as?

A. The grave.

Set me as a seal upon your heart,
As a seal upon your arm;
For love is as strong as death,
Jealousy as cruel as the grave;
Its flames are flames of fire,
A most vehement flame.

Song of Solomon 8:6
